AbstractThis is a follow-up paper of Goldner (Math Z 297(1–2):133–174, 2021), where rational curves in surfaces that satisfy general positioned point and cross-ratio conditions were enumerated. A suitable correspondence theorem provided in Tyomkin (Adv Math 305:1356–1383, 2017) allowed us to use tropical geometry, and, in particular, a degeneration technique called floor diagrams. This correspondence theorem also holds in higher dimension. In the current paper, we introduce so-called cross-ratio floor diagrams and show that they allow us to determine the number of rational space curves that satisfy general positioned point and cross-ratio conditions. The multiplicities of such cross-ratio floor diagrams can be calculated by enumerating certain rational tropical curves in the plane.

We are currently experiencing a revolution associated with the rapid development and widespread introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) systems. This process provides great opportunities and is associated with great risks. It has become an important factor in geoeconomics and geopolitics, an arena for superpower rivalry.Human being exists in rational, emotional and intuitive spaces. The last three centuries have been associated with the development of rational space. We know little about the emotional space and know almost nothing about the intuitive one. These areas of cognition of the world are associated with art, artistic and social creativity, with philosophy. In the 21st century, the role of these areas will grow. There is a transition now happening from the industrial phase of the civilization development to the post-industrial one, from the world of machines to the world of people. Therefore, attempts to reduce human activity to the rational solving of problems, to replace human in many areas with artificial intelligence, will be a step backward, into the past, and not forward, into the future. The response to the challenge associated with the AI development, with the rapid spread of computer technologies, should be given, first of all, in the cultural space, in the area of meanings and values. It is necessary to rethink the essence and limitations of people, the nature of the tools that they can create, and those that should be abandoned. This is about redefining the capabilities of human beings and their place in the world, as well as about fundamental changes in the organization of society. The article shows that the strategy of “irresponsible gods” and entrusting AI with the “last issues” can bring us to a global catastrophe. However, conscious using of the opening opportunities can help humanity reach a new, higher level. And the choice between these alternatives is now being made in the cultural space.

This paper focuses on the protagonist in Venom (2018). The debate is based on the double character of Eddie-Venom and traces the Deleuzean desire of this folded identity. How Eddie’s dark desires are suppressed and united by Venom, a symbiote? Schizoanalysis, a counter-method of psychoanalysis, assumes a dual identity for dealing with the rational space surrounding us. Psychoanalysis however, establishes a family-based representational system. For Deleuze and Guattari, free associations during schizophrenic life are to be preferred instead of the representational approach in psychoanalysis. schizo-esthetics, a network of desiring machines, is the liberty of the subject to remain in the world non-hierarchically and the abandonment of the order of symbols.

Abstract The scientific publication aims to identify risks in the maintenance of the rental housing stock. Access to housing is an essential precondition for the development and integration of the personality of each individual into society. Despite the rapid development of the state in certain sectors of the economy, the issue of inadequate accessibility and quality of housing for low-income groups of the population is becoming more and more acute. Therefore, one of the state policies is to create an adequate and rational space for all categories of Latvia’s population. The aim of the article is to identify and evaluate the risks of management of rental houses owned by the municipality, their impact on efficient and high-quality maintenance and high-quality maintenance of the housing stock.
