Purpose: This study investigated differences in the clinical outcomes of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) of patients hospitalized in general wards according to the operation of a rapid response team. Methods: This retrospective study included 122 patients over the age of 19 who were admitted to general ward of a hospital located in Suwon, between July 1, 2015 and December 31, 2019, and received CPR during the operating hours of the rapid response team. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, the x2 test, Fisher's exact test, and one-way analysis of variance using SPSS for Windows version 25.0.Results: The proportion of nurses who were the initial responders to cardiac arrest was 79.1% during the extended-operation period. 41.2% during the pre-operation period, and 42.2% during the limited-operation period (p<.001). The rate of good neurological recovery at discharge post-CPR was 25.0% in patients who received CPR during the pre-operation period, 36.4% during the limited-operation period, and 87.5% during the extended-operation period (p=.042).Conclusion: This study identified clinical outcomes in patients who received CPR according to the operation status of the rapid response team. These results are expected to help in the further implementation of rapid response teams.

This chapter focuses on the objectives and logistics behind the massacre of nine noblemen at Saint-Leu-d’Esserent on 28 May 1358, the first incident in what became the Jacquerie. This attack was carefully planned and enacted by a geographically diverse group who came together for that purpose. It was not a spontaneous uprising in that village by its normal population. Strategic interests linked to the military and political predicament of Paris clearly motivated the attack: the nobles killed included the nephew of one of the murdered marshals, and his entourage was probably headed for Creil, a fortress allowing the Dauphin to block the Oise River. This attack may have been carried out on the villagers’ own initiative, rather than at Marcel’s order. Close relations between town and countryside meant that there were many opportunities for cooperation, and villagers were certainly aware of the situation in Paris. But whether anyone envisaged the confrontation at Saint-Leu as the opening salvo in a massive, inter-regional uprising is unclear, especially as rural revolts were still uncommon. Rather, the events in Saint-Leu-d’Esserent and environs may have been conceived as a limited operation to accomplish a particular aim, which took on a different character afterward.

The paper presents an example of failure of the foundation slab of a complex of multi-storey buildings and an analysis of the complex reasons of its origin. In addition, the method and technology of the repair was presented in conditions of continuous, though limited operation of the facility, taking into account the existing limitations. The repair involved the necessity of performing specialized preparatory works, proper assembly and protection of the designed strengthening.
