ALTERNATIF PENYELESAIAN SENGKETA YANG EFEKTIF, EFISIEN DAN BERKEADILAN BAGI PERBANKAN SYARIAH

Effective sharia banking resolution is one of the efforts to maintain public trust in Sharia Bank. Sharia Banking activities are based on the prudential banking principle, economic democracy and sharia principles. The characteristics of Islamic Banking are promoting balance, justice and sustainability to achieve the goal of creating community welfare. Based on analysis of regulations governing Sharia Banking dispute resolution, disputes ca be resolved through alternative dispute resolution or Religious Courts. Mediation is dispute settlement based on goodwill and the wishes of the parties with the help of mediator, resulting in a fair and in accordance with the wishes of the parties. Mediation emphasizes a balance position between the parties in reaching an agreement, so that the goal of achieving justice will be achieved. In line with the characteristics of Sharia banking the mediation will be effective if carried out in with applicable procedures as stipulated in LAPSPI Regulation Number : 01/LAPSPI-PER/2017 concerning Regulations and Mediation Procedures. In addition, the Religious Court can optimize mediation as part of the process of proceedings in resolving efficient, effective and equitable sharia banking.

A Flow-Induced Vibration Study on the Multiple Rectangular Tubes Bundles for Steam Generator Outlet Pipes of HTR-PM

The heat transfer tubes in steam generator of High Temperature Reactor-Pebble bed Modules (HTR-PM) suffer a high-speed and high temperature Helium flow environment. To avoid high thermal stress and decrease the fluid-induced vibration, tubes are packed in the form of rectangular tubes bundles. The empirical formulas of flow-induced vibration in ASME code are applicable to circular cylinder and incompressible media, which is not available for the proposed problem. In the present paper, rectangular tubes bundles are simplified as square cylinder with specific stiffness. The vibration of six square cylinders with horizontal and vertical arrangements are analyzed in displacement and frequency. The results show that the six square cylinders reveal same vibration amplitude and frequency, but different balance positions. For the horizontal arrangement and the vertical arrangement, according to the different balance positions, the balance position boundary line can be drawn. The cylinders at two sides of the balance position boundary line are closer to each other, where collisions or damages are easy to occur.

Numerical Analysis of the Lubrication Performances for Ultra-Thin Gas Film Lubrication of Magnetic Head/Disk With a New Finite Difference Method

In the present paper, a new iterative algorithm of finite difference method to numerically solve the lubrication problems of magnetic head/disks under ultra thin gas film thickness is introduced. Pressure distributions are calculated when a slider deviates slowly or abruptly from the balance position due to perturbations. The results show that when the slider moves in the film thickness direction, the pressure always tends to force the slider back to the balance position. Steady flying simulations show that the pitch angle is the sensitive parameter to the load carrying capacity of the slider, which should be carefully controlled in design. Squeeze effect is apparent when abrupt movements or rotations happen, which can avoid, to some extent, fatal damages due to vibration or uncertain interferences.

A Study on Development of the Casino Industry for the 21st Century

The tourism industry has greatly contributed to the strengthening of the trade balance position of Korea as much as the export industry itself ever since 1975 when the former was designated as one of Korea's main strategic industries. However, the tourism industry, which registered the highest surplus of US 2,000 million in 1988, the year Korea hosted the Olympic Games, has declined since 1989 when the overseas travel of Koreans was completely liberalized. In 1992, the tourism industry showed a deficit of US$ 360 million. It is anticipated that the deficit in the tourism industry will further increase. To cope with the threatened decline in the revenue of the tourism industry, the government has been contemplating special measures to boost Korea's share in the world tourism market of US$ 230 billion per year.

Ionometric Half Value Layer Meter for Measurements of the Quality of X-Rays

An instrument is described which permits the measurement of the quality of X-rays in terms of the half value layer (HVL) of a suitable filter material. It consists of two ionization chambers adjustable in volume, which are connected in opposition and linked with an X-ray dose measuring device. The chambers are so adjusted that one chamber is twice as sensitive as the other. The filtration of the X-ray beam entering the larger chamber is adjusted until a balance position is reached as indicated by zero deflection of the electrometer needle of the measuring device.
