Differential and integral equations in reflexive Banach spaces have gained great attention and hve been investigated in many studies and monographs. Inspired by those, we study the existence of the solution to a delay functional integral equation of Volterra-Stieltjes type and its corresponding delay-functional integro-differential equation in reflexive Banach space E. Sufficient conditions for the uniqueness of the solutions are given. The continuous dependence of the solutions on the delay function, the initial data, and some others parameters are proved.

In this paper, we consider a generalized mixed variational-like inequality problem and prove a Minty-type lemma for its related auxiliary problems in a real Banach space. We prove the existence of a solution of these auxiliary problems and also prove some properties for the solution set of generalized mixed variational-like inequality problem. Furthermore, we introduce and study an inertial hybrid iterative method for solving the generalized mixed variational-like inequality problem involving Bregman relatively nonexpansive mapping in Banach space. We study the strong convergence for the proposed algorithm. Finally, we list some consequences and computational examples to emphasize the efficiency and relevancy of the main result.

In this paper, using the concept of Bregman distance, we introduce a new Bregman subgradient extragradient method for solving equilibrium and common fixed point problems in a real reflexive Banach space. The algorithm is designed, such that the stepsize is chosen without prior knowledge of the Lipschitz constants. We also prove a strong convergence result for the sequence that is generated by our algorithm under mild conditions. We apply our result to solving variational inequality problems, and finally, we give some numerical examples to illustrate the efficiency and accuracy of the algorithm.

The goal of this note is to present a new shorter proof for the maximal monotonicity of the Minkowski sum of two maximal monotone multi-valued operators defined in a reflexive Banach space under the classical interiority condition involving their domains.

AbstractIn this paper, using a Bregman distance technique, we introduce a new single projection process for approximating a common element in the set of solutions of variational inequalities involving a pseudo-monotone operator and the set of common fixed points of a finite family of Bregman quasi-nonexpansive mappings in a real reflexive Banach space. The stepsize of our algorithm is determined by a self-adaptive method, and we prove a strong convergence result under certain mild conditions. We further give some applications of our result to a generalized Nash equilibrium problem and bandwidth allocation problems. We also provide some numerical experiments to illustrate the performance of our proposed algorithm using various convex functions and compare this algorithm with other algorithms in the literature.

Consider an abstract Problem P in a metric space (X; d) assumed to have a unique solution u. The aim of this paper is to compare two convergence results u'n → u and u''n → u, both in X, and to construct a relevant example of convergence result un → u such that the two convergences above represent particular cases of this third convergence. To this end, we use the concept of Tykhonov triple. We illustrate the use of this new and nonstandard mathematical tool in the particular case of hemivariational inequalities in reflexive Banach space. This allows us to obtain and to compare various convergence results for such inequalities. We also specify these convergences in the study of a mathematical model, which describes the contact of an elastic body with a foundation and provide the corresponding mechanical interpretations.

In this paper, we prove a sufficient condition that every nonempty closed convex bounded pair M , N in a reflexive Banach space B satisfying Opial’s condition has proximal normal structure. We analyze the relatively nonexpansive self-mapping T on M ∪ N satisfying T M ⊆ M and T N ⊆ N , to show that Ishikawa’s and Halpern’s iteration converges to the best proximity point. Also, we prove that under relatively isometry self-mapping T on M ∪ N satisfying T N ⊆ N and T M ⊆ M , Ishikawa’s iteration converges to the best proximity point in the collection of all Chebyshev centers of N relative to M . Some illustrative examples are provided to support our results.
