The Danish higher technical examination programme (HTX) is the only high school program in Denmark that specialises in technology and engineering. Central to the HTX curriculum are the profile subjects; technology and technical science. In this article, we take a closer look at these subjects, or more precisely, we examine the concept of technology embedded within them. The ministerial order regarding the subjects places the concept of technology within the ‘technology model’. We will examine the background for the model, its potential and limitations and the model's place in teaching through empirical findings from fieldwork in order to examine whether the technology model lives up to its described purpose. Overall, it can be argued that the model works but it can also be argued that the teachers should be aware of the model’s shortcomings and discuss these with students, so they obtain a more dynamic and dialectical understanding of technology.

In this study, we fabricated the experimental equipment for testing gas laws, using eco-friendly and easy-to-find materials. The equipment was able to test, with relatively high accuracy (error less than 1%), the gas laws and demonstrate the state equation of ideal gases. The findings reveal that the equipment and similar experiments can be adopted for teachers’ modeling activities as well as students’ experiments, or teachers can guide their students to fabricate their own equipment as a STEM experience while teaching the topic “Ideal Gas” – Grade 12 Physics, the national high school program 2018.

This sequential explanatory mixed methods research design aimed to explore the innovative leadership practices of principals in the implementation of Senior High School Program in the Division of Davao del Sur. Using purposive sampling, ten (10) secondary school heads answered the validated and tried interview guide which results were coded, interpreted, and clustered into leadership, individual attributes, psychological climate for innovation and influence to the stakeholders based on the theory, Determining Individual Innovative Behavior: A Hypothetical Model by Scot and Bruce (1994). Thereafter, an eighty-one (81) item initial survey questionnaire was developed and by complete enumeration, it was administered to two hundred (200) Senior High School teacher-respondents. Using Exploratory Factor Analysis, seventy (70) item survey questionnaire on principals’ innovative leadership practices was developed and generated three (3) components which included leadership, individual attributes, and psychological climate for innovation. The developed survey questionnaire was subjected to internal consistency reliability test in which the computed Cronbach’s Alpha value was 0.989 which means that the over-all reliability of it was excellent. Based on the findings, it was recommended that school heads need tos focus on setting goals and plans, equip themselves with the basic skills, plan and develop effective strategies, coordinate, communicate and empower stakeholders, analyze the educational pattern and meet, cope up and sustain the needs of the school in all aspects.

The School of Tomorrow (S.O.T.) having the Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) here in the Philippines promises that they can give the most advanced twenty-first-century educational system available, but the experiences and grievances of S.O.T. graduates stated otherwise. This case study intends to determine the key informant's experiences in transitioning from Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) institution to conventional schools in Capiz. This study utilized interviews, observation, and data reviews in gathering the data while the Mayring (2002) approach was utilized in analyzing the data. Themes came out from the constructs of the interviewees in Capiz, like S.O.T. curriculum is offered in Pre-School to Junior High School only, difficulty in transitioning from S.O.T. school to conventional schools offering Senior High School Program and conventional schools must be adopted and integrated to the S.O.T. Junior High School. The output of the research is the proposed new S.O.T. curriculum model to help address the existing problems.
