We review recent progress in open quantum system approach to the description of quarkonium in the quark-gluon plasma. A particular emphasis is put on the Lindblad equations for quarkonium and its numerical simulations.

We study the quantum teleportation under fluctuating electromagnetic field in the presence of a perfectly reflecting boundary. The noisy scheme of quantum teleportation affected by electromagnetic fluctuation is proposed. Then we calculate and investigate the behaviors of entanglement and fidelity, which are closely related to the plane boundary and atomic polarization. After a period of evolution, entanglement and fidelity evolve to zero and nonzero stable value respectively. Fidelity is closely related to the weight parameter and phase parameter of the teleported state. Besides, small two-atom separation makes entanglement and fidelity have better enhancement. Furthermore, the presence of boundary, atomic polarization and two-atom separation offers us more freedom to adjust the performance of the quantum teleportation. The results would give us new insight into quantum communication in an open quantum system since quantum teleportation plays an important role in quantum communication and quantum information.

In their seminal 1961 paper, Sudarshan, Mathews and Rau investigated properties of the dynamical A and B maps acting on n-dimensional quantum systems. The nature of dynamical maps in open quantum system evolutions has attracted great deal of attention in the later years. However, the novel paper on the A and B dynamical maps has not received its due attention. In this tutorial article, we review the properties of A and B forms associated with the dynamics of finite dimensional quantum systems. In particular, we investigate a canonical structure associated with the A form and establish its equivalence with the associated B form. We show that the canonical structure of the A form captures the completely positive (not completely positive) nature of the dynamics in a succinct manner. This feature is illustrated through physical examples of qubit channels.Quanta 2021; 10: 34–41.

We consider an open quantum system in [Formula: see text] governed by quasiperiodic Hamiltonian with rationally independent frequencies and under the assumption of Lyapunov–Perron reducibility of the associated Schrödinger equation. We construct the Markovian Master Equation and the resulting CP-divisible evolution in the weak coupling limit regime, generalizing our previous results from the periodic case. The analysis is conducted with the application of projection operator techniques and concluded with some results regarding stability of solutions and existence of quasiperiodic global steady state.
