The visualisation systems are spread widely as personal computer’s software. The system, that are processing audio data are presented in this article. The system visualizes the ratio of spectrum amplitudes and has fixed frequency binding to colours. The technology of audio signals processing by the device and components of the device were considered. For the increasing information processing speed was used 32bit controller and graphic equalizer with seven passbands. Music visualization it is function, that are spread widely in mediaplayer’s software, on a different operation systems. This function shows animated images that are depends on music signal. Images are usually reproduced in the real time mode and synchronized with a played audio-track. Music and visualization are merges in the different kind of art: opera, ballett, music drama or movies. Dependencies of auditory and visual sensations are used for increasing the emotional perseption for ordinary listeners . In the systems, that are currently being actively promoted, are used several tools for personal computers, such as: After Effects – The Audio Spectrum Effect, VSDC Video Editor Free – Audio Spectrum Visualizer, Magic Music Visuals. The software, that are mentioned above, has a one disadvantage: the using of streaming video is not possible with the simultaneous receipt of audio and requires processing and rendering of the resulting video series. The purpose of the work is to determine the features of spectral analysis of music information and taking into account real-time data processing. Propose a variant of the music information visualization system, which displays the spectral composition of music and the amplitude of individual harmonics, and filling the LED-matrix with the appropriate color depending on the amplitude of the audio signal, with the possibility of wireless signal transmission from the music source to the visual effects device. The technology of frequency analysis of the spectrum with estimation of amplitude of spectrum’s components of the musical data, that is arriving on the device is chosen for this project. The method is based on the analysis of the spectrum in the selected frequency bands, which in turn simplifies the function of finding maxima at different frequencies. The proposed variant of the musical information visualization system provides display on the LED-matrix of colors that correspond to the frequencies spectrum’s components in the musical composition. Moreover, the number of involved LEDs is proportional to the ratio of the amplitudes of the signal’s frequency components. The desired result is achieved by using a Fast Fourier Transform and selecting Khan or Heming windows for providing a better analysis results of the signal spectrum. The amplitudes of the individual components of the spectrum are estimated additionally and each frequency band has its own color. The work of the system is to analyze the components of the spectrum and frequency of musical information. This information affects the display of colors on the LED matrix. The using of a 32-bit microcontroller provides sufficient speed of audio signal processing with minimal delays. For the increasing the accuracy and speed up the frequency analysis, the sound range is divided into seven bands. For this purpose was used seven-band graphic equalizer MSGEQ7. Music information is transmitted to the system via Bluetooth, which greatly simplifies the selection and connection of the music data source.

This paper explores how to incorporate information visualization tools into qualitative studies to represent the underlying structure of knowledge. Information visualization plays a key role in many areas such as decision-making, data mining, market studies, or knowledge management. A case of experiential learning was developed for Quantitative Techniques in Business and Administration and Economy Degrees at the University of Granada, Spain. The goal is to analyze the opinion of students (n = 227) on the development of the activity through information visualization techniques. The gathered information was subjected to a categorization process to unify and homogenize the responses. After a term-clumping process, a co-word analysis using the VosViewer software is used to analyze the relationships among terms and provide the network maps. Results display the main associations and clusters of terms used when assessing the experiential activity, using qualitative techniques. In conclusion, the strengths of data visualization enabling a better understanding of data for qualitative studies are established. In the big data environment, the visualization technique has been increasingly adopted to mine the data on library and information (L&I), with the diversification of data sources and the growth of data volume. However, there are several defects with the research on information association of L&I visualization network: the lack of optimization of network layout algorithms, and the absence of L&I information fusion and comparison in multiple disciplines, in the big data environment. To overcome these defects, this paper explores the visualization of L&I from the perspective of big data analysis and fusion. Firstly, the authors analyzed the topology of the L&I visualization network, and calculated the metrics for the construction of L&I visualization topology map. Next, the importance of meta-paths of the L&I visualization network was calculated. Finally, a complex big data L&I visualization network was established, and the associations between information nodes were analyzed in details. Experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm

Purpose This study aims to evaluate the selected children’s websites in terms of information visualization features based on the criteria existing in the related literature and expert scrutiny. Design/methodology/approach A mixed-methods (qualitative-quantitative) study was conducted with a descriptive-comparative approach. A set of 80 English websites, as well as 24 quality Persian websites, were selected constituting a sample size of 104 websites. A conceptual model was developed from an extensive literature review on information visualization in children’s websites. In the quantitative part, a checklist derived from the conceptual model and based on the heuristic evaluation method was distributed among 20 related experts, the data of which were then analysed through Partial Least Squares using SmartPLS 3.0. Findings Confirmatory factor analysis showed high-reliability indicators and fit indices in measurement and structural models showing that the conceptual model had the necessary validities among the expert evaluators. Path coefficients showed that layout design and user interface design were the first and last priorities among the dimensions. It was also found that English websites were much more successful than Persian websites in supporting the features of information visualization. Originality/value The current study has implications for the effective use of standard features related to information visualization in children’s websites usable for designers, media specialists, parents, instructors and librarians, which would also make the children more engaged to better use, learn and interact with the websites.

Graphs are the most common abstract structure encountered in computer science and are widely used for structural information visualization. In the paper, we consider practical and general graph formalism of so called hierarchical graphs and present the Higres and ALVIS systems aimed at supporting of structural information visualization on the base of hierarchical graph models.

In the big data environment, the visualization technique has been increasingly adopted to mine the data on library and information (L&I), with the diversification of data sources and the growth of data volume. The previous research into the information association of L&I visualization network rarely tries to construct such a network or explore the information association of the network. To overcome these defects, this paper explores the visualization of L&I from the perspective of big data analysis and fusion. Firstly, the authors analyzed the topology of the L&I visualization network and calculated the metrics for the construction of L&I visualization topology map. Next, the importance of meta-paths of the L&I visualization network was calculated. Finally, a complex big data L&I visualization network was established, and the associations between information nodes were analyzed in detail. Experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
