The Church as a Treaty for implementing theology. Warnings and solutions to solutions from Marva J. Dawn and related liturgical figures also support the role of orthodoxy, orthopraxis, and orthopathy from Worship Theology to hold its missiological responsibilities reversed with the help of contemporary worship.

This article examines the predictors of overall congregational vitality in the United Church of Christ (UCC), a US mainline Protestant denomination of approximately 5,000 churches and 800,000 members. This analysis is based on data from the UCC version of the Faith Communities Today survey, which surveyed all UCC congregations in early 2020. An overall congregational vitality scale was created from survey questions; factors associated with congregational vitality were tested to see which ones had a statistically significant relationship with a congregation's level of overall vitality. Aspects of congregations that were significantly associated with overall congregational vitality included the fit between the pastor and congregation, innovative worship, racial diversity, and total number of participants, while the percentage of young adults, contemporary worship, founding year of congregation, percentage change in worship attendance over the past five years, current financial health of congregation, and percentage of female participants did not influence overall congregational vitality. This research may be useful for congregations seeking to maintain or increase their vitality and for researchers interested in identifying the components and predictors of congregational vitality.

This article examines the genre of Contemporary Worship Music (CWM) within worship contexts in terms of its formative and purposeful nature. In CWM settings, the worship leader plays a particular role in the selection and facilitation of CWM repertoire to be led by praise bands. Through the leader's consideration of the message of the CWM lyrics, and the relational nature of CWM practices, a worship leader's pedagogical decisions are integral to contributing to a space of dialogue for worship musicians. Drawing on previous literature addressing liturgical language in worship, I analyze the CWM context as a particular case where liturgical language shapes musicians’ spiritual formation. This examination of CWM practices includes an analysis of musicians’ engagement in relational musicking and meeting through I-Thou encounters. I therefore explore both the need for worship leaders to consider the multitudinous theological implications of their actions, as well as the way musicians are shaped and formed intimately through their musical engagement with CWM.

Pemikiran Calvin tentang ibadah bukan saja melampaui pokok bahasan seputar penggunaan alat musik dan Mazmur, melainkan juga memiliki potensi yang kaya untuk pengembangan ibadah Kristen masa kini This article presents the potential of John Calvin's thought on Christian worship for today and the future. Worship according to Calvin does not seem promising to be developed in the present context because of the narrowness of his insight. This article seeks to present a contrary perspective. This article would like to share the contribution of Calvin’s thought that can serve as a guide and correction for contemporary worship. For this reason, I will discuss the principles of Calvin’s theology, which are applied in aspects of worship, Calvin's view of the so-called liturgical sins, and metaphors used by Calvin to explain worship. Methodologically, this article seeks to draw from Calvin’s thoughts on worship and contextualize it but does not offer comprehensive and historical discussion in a strict sense. Calvin’s thought on worship not only goes beyond the subject of the use of musical instruments and psalms but also has rich potential for the development of Christian worship for today.
