Voter education for first time voters is important given the group’s potential in contributing to 30% of overall voters. Unfortunately, the potential is not well managed through systematical and comrprehensive voter education. Rumah Pintar Pemilu (Election Smart House/RPP) is one of the priorities of the Election Commission (KPU) that functions as a voter education service center. It has become a facility for first time voters to understand about the election and democracy in general. This research used research and development (R&D) method. Data was collected through deep interview, focus group discussion (FGD), and documentation study. The result shows the RPP’s potential in serving voter education for first time voters and how RPP is developed as a political education facility in cities/regencies. Keywords: voter education, first time voters, learning resources ABSTRAK Pendidikan pemilih bagi pemilih pemula menjadi penting mengingat potensi suara yang ada pada kelompok ini memiliki kontribusi lebih kurang 30% dari jumlah pemilih.

Teachers' attitudes toward and competencies in mathematics. The Education Service Center in San Antonio, Texas has developed a teacher inservice program to reduce teacher anxiety in teaching mathematics in grades K-8. The purpose of the program is to change teacher attitudes toward the teaching of the subject by showing that mathematics deals with practical, problem-solving situations. Materials that emphasize the process of problem solving are used. The funding for training staff to conduct the inservice activities and to develop materials was provided by a Title IV-C grant. For more information contact Dwain Estes, Executive Director, Education Service Center, Region 20, 1314 Hines Avenue, San Antonio, TX 78208.
