Teachers' attitudes toward and competencies in mathematics. The Education Service Center in San Antonio, Texas has developed a teacher inservice program to reduce teacher anxiety in teaching mathematics in grades K-8. The purpose of the program is to change teacher attitudes toward the teaching of the subject by showing that mathematics deals with practical, problem-solving situations. Materials that emphasize the process of problem solving are used. The funding for training staff to conduct the inservice activities and to develop materials was provided by a Title IV-C grant. Clinical low vision services are a vital related service for students with low vision. A rationale and a model are offered for the delivery of services through a regional Education Service Center in a sparsely populated area of Texas. Optical aids and vision stimulation programs were provided for students who could benefit from them.

Voter education for first time voters is important given the group’s potential in contributing to 30% of overall voters. Unfortunately, the potential is not well managed through systematical and comrprehensive voter education. Rumah Pintar Pemilu (Election Smart House/RPP) is one of the priorities of the Election Commission (KPU) that functions as a voter education service center. It has become a facility for first time voters to understand about the election and democracy in general. This research used research and development (R&D) method. Data was collected through deep interview, focus group discussion (FGD), and documentation study. The result shows the RPP’s potential in serving voter education for first time voters and how RPP is developed as a political education facility in cities/regencies. Keywords: voter education, first time voters, learning resources ABSTRAK Pendidikan pemilih bagi pemilih pemula menjadi penting mengingat potensi suara yang ada pada kelompok ini memiliki kontribusi lebih kurang 30% dari jumlah pemilih. Sayangnya potensi sebesar itu seringkali tidak dikelola dengan baik melalui pendidikan pemilih yang sistematis dan komprehensif. Kehadiran Rumah Pintar Pemilu (RPP) sebagai salah satu program prioritas Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) yang berfungsi sebagai pusat layanan pendidikan pemilih menjadi wahana tersendiri bagi pemilih pemula untuk mengerti tentang pemilu dan kehidupan demokrasi pada umumnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D). Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui teknik wawancara mendalam, focus group discussion (FGD), dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan potensi RPP dalam memberikan layanan pendidikan pemilih bagi pemilih pemula dan bagaimana RPP dikembangkan sebagai sarana pendidikan politik di kabupaten/kota. Objetivo: conhecer as influências da formação acadêmica e da Educação Permanente em Saúde (EPS) nos estilos de liderança adotados pelos enfermeiros no âmbito hospitalar. Método: pesquisa qualitativa do tipo descritiva, apoiada no referencial de Hersey e Blanchard. Participaram do estudo seis enfermeiros da rede hospitalar de Chapecó (SC), que tipificavam diferentes estilos de liderança. Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas e analisados conforme Análise Temática. Resultados: os participantes sentiram-se pouco influenciados para liderar diante da formação obtida na graduação e ressaltaram dificuldades de integração ensino-serviço, que interferiram no exercício da liderança. Quanto à EPS, sinalizaram a falta de investimentos na qualificação. Conclusão: destaca-se a importância de o ensino na graduação fortalecer as práticas de aprendizagem da liderança e entende-se que a liderança é aperfeiçoada ao longo da vida profissional.  Objective: to know the influences of academic training and Continuing Health Education (EPS) on the leadership styles adopted by nurses in the hospital environment. Method: it is qualitative descriptive-type research supported in the references of Hersey and Blanchard. Six nurses from the hospital network of Chapecó, Santa Catarina, participated in this study and typified different leadership styles. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed according to Thematic Analysis. Results: the participants felt only slightly influenced to lead during the training obtained in their graduation course and highlighted difficulties in integrating education service, which interfered in exercising leadership. As for the Continuing Health Education (EPS), it indicated a lack of investment in qualification. Conclusion: standing it was highlighted the importance of education in graduation studies to strengthen leadership learning practices and it is understood that leadership is perfected and improved throughout working life. Key words: Nursing, Leadership, Continuing Education.

Blood drives make a perfect health education service learning project for high school and college students, especially college students majoring in health education. It is a true win-win project. Students learn about the gift of life and have a chance to practice valuable organizational, communication, problem-solving, marketing and evaluation skills. The community benefits from additional blood stores and expansion of the community blood donor base.

The psychological health education in school education , especially for university education has a more important significance. Most current colleges and universities have tried to build psychological health education service platform which are integrated a variety of psychological health education information and functionality using IT information based on Internet. They enrich the university psychological health education model, and achieve certain results. But these platforms, because of its own technical limitations , are generally lack of wisdom sensing, intelligent diagnosis and adaptive personalization service functions. The emergence of the Internet of Things provides some technical support for building context-aware intelligence psychological health education services platform. This paper presents the architecture and the functional structure of the psychological health education service platform based on the Internet of Things. It give birth to a new model of mental health education, complete the service system psychological health education further.
