Gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GISTs) are rares connective tumors, usually located in the stomach or small intestine. Derived from Cajal cells or one of their precursors. Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) represent 1% to 2% of all neoplasms of the digestive tract, The average age is between 50 and 60 years old, most often occurring in the stomach, Their clinical symptomatology is variable according to the region affected or the size of the lesion, they are responsibles for digestive bleeding, pain, or abdominal mass, as well as an alteration in the general state of health. More rarely, the diagnosis is made on the occasion of an intestinal occlusion. the  GIST complicated by occlusion due either to invagination of the tumour mass or to exophytic development of the tumour. In CT scans, they are manifested by a localised parietal tumour thickening of variable size with most often an exophytic development. Molecular biology plays an important role in this disease. The main treatment is radical surgery .The Imatinib has radically changed the prognosis of patients with unresectable and/or metastatic GIST. We report the case of a patient with a stromal tumour complicated by occlusion operated in emergency in the department of visceral surgical emergencies of Ibn Rochd UHC.

The giant colon diverticulum is a rare disease. Symptomatology is non-specific but can cause acute abdomen in 30% of cases. Diagnosis is often accidental and is mainly based on CT. The treatment is surgical but there are still few cases treated laparoscopically. We present the case of a patient treated laparoscopically who returns to the ward after a month with intra-abdominal abscess and internal hernia without intestinal occlusion.

AbstractAlmost half of the patients with colorectal cancer are over 70 years old. The aim of the study is to analyse the main clinical and paraclinical characteristics of elderly patients with left colon cancer. 171 patients with left colon cancer were included in a retrospective study, analysing the differences between the patients under and those over 70 years from the point of view of the symptomatology, laboratory investigations, treatment of anemia, postoperative complications. Secondary anemia is seen in a quarter of the patients, and the indication of intraoperative transfusion was most frequent in the elderly (p=0.007). The incidence of intestinal occlusion increases with age, so that one third of the patients over 80 years are admitted with intestinal occlusion. The management of the elderly patient with left colon cancer should benefit from a pluridisciplinary approach, in the context of the numerous associated disorders and the particularities of the geriatric patient.

AbstractMeckel's diverticulum (MD) is the most common congenital abnormality of the gastrointestinal tract. Intestinal occlusion due to MD is a commonly observed consequence of intussusception or volvulus. Here, we report a case of an 11-year-old boy who presented to the emergency department with acute abdominal pain, bilious vomiting, and abdominal rebound tenderness. Computed tomography scan concluded a diagnosis of intestinal occlusion with no apparent cause. The patient was submitted to diagnostic laparoscopy, and mechanical occlusion by the permeable Meckel with double base was identified. A diverticulectomy by staplers was performed, and occlusion was alleviated. MD is a rare disease (for only 0.3–2.9% of the general population), and only 4.2 to 9% of patients diagnosed with MD have associated complications. MD can be a large base or a narrow base, with a mesodiverticular band but the diverticulum is usually a blind recess. In our case, the tube connected two intestinal segments. To the best of our knowledge, we have reported the first case of an MD-like permeable tube with a double basis.
