AbstractA research focused on development of numerical model of a sea area destined for a motion simulator of an Autonomous Biomimetic Underwater Vehicle (ABPP) is presented in the paper. There are purpose, construction and functionality of the ABPP motion simulator generally characterized in the introduction. The first part contains description of a method of creating the sea area model based on the data included in the Electronic Navigational Chart (ENC). A method of displaying the sea area model in the ABPP motion simulator, with a use of the Open GL graphic library, is described in the second part. Finally, there are conclusions drawn from the executed research given at the end.

Tube has a complex structure in space, in order to machining tubes of different radius and avoid interference, a new type of Triz bending machine is developed, which has up to eight dies by moving and rotating the head of the machine. The key technology of tube coordinates transformation is solved by the vector algorithm. For the springback problem, a compensation is add to the final working parameters, which can reduce the testing time and the quantity of scraps. Finally the tube bending simulation system for the new machine is developed based on Visual Studio 2010 and Open GL.

Virtual CNC machining is test cutting and process optimization of virtual reality before production, which overcomes defects of interferences and collisions while the real workpiece is fabricated. The 3D scenario of Virtual CNC machining system is constructed by 3DS and Open GL on VC++6.0 platform. This system mainly encompasses modules of machine modeling, simulation of virtual cutting and its control panel. Key technologies solve 3DS file reading, simulation control by Open GL back buffer and implementation of control items on control panels respectively, so practicability of CNC system is improved greatly.

This virtual system, which is based on virtual manufacturing and NC processing technique for NC milling, is developed by Visual C++6.0. The system can edit, check and debug the NC programs to realize the 3D dynamic simulation of machining processes and collision-checking during cutting processes.
