Microstructure and mechanical properties of different area of 22MnB5 hot stamping part were analysis by experiment. The results show that the maximum tensile strength reaches 1578MPa at bottom surface area, and the elongation is at the region of 8.5~12 with die cooling area, and the area of bottom surface has higher tensile strength than that of side wall area. Martensite is formed with die cooling, and tempered martensite and undissolved ferrites were found at side wall area. The microstructure of area with air cooling is composed of ferrite and pearlite, and a small amount of martensite.

An increasing demand for lower price and better quality vehicle has increase complexity of tool development process. This includes concept evaluation, design phase, prototype phase and pre production phase. Experience show that R&D spends most of the time and cost for tool development process, which includes assembly tooling, product tooling for automobile sheet metal component or part requires the highest cost in tool development process as most metal stamping part requires more than one tool to produce finished stamping part. For these reason, sheet metal forming simulation and analysis at early stage of tool development process is very important to shorten the tool development cycle time and cost. In other word by applying sheet metal forming simulation and analysis at early stage it can reduce the die manufacturing cycle time and cost.

Press-extrusion forming is a combined extrusion process for forming embossment on metal sheets. A series of simulations on embossment forming using the program DEFORM were carried out. It is shown that the optimal process, the suitable die structure and the friction conditions can form embossment on the stamping part with good dimensions. The experiments conducted in the present study not only validated the finite element analysis but also confirmed the efficiency of the suitable die structure in helping the embossment formation.

To solve problem of die lock area appeared in process of stamping, this paper presents method of coordinate comparison to qualitatively detect die lock area, and set out mathematical model to quantitatively adjust the stamping direction. The methods are utilized to a stamping part, and the results show the methods can effectively solve the die lock area problem.

The repairing of incomplete measured data caused by the inaccessibility or invisibility of some portions of the product surface for measure tools plays an important role in Reverse Engineering. The fundamental principles of Reverse Engineering and Anatomical CAD are introduced. The main functional advantages of 3-matic package integrated with Anatomical CAD are presented. There is a big difference in the working flows between Anatomical CAD and traditional CAD packages in the process of RE data repairing. In this paper, we propose a new method of data repairing based on Anatomical CAD. The point cloud of the stamping part obtained by a Potable CMM is repaired successfully by 3-matic, which reduces preparation times by working with a triangular mesh directly, and saves the turn-around time and works more effectively.

There are large quantities of heat is wasted in the producting process of cylinder drop stamping part, it is necessary to recycle the heat from the perspective of environmental protection. In this paper the waste heat recovery system that based on heating pump were analyzed, building up cylinder drop stamping normalizing temperature curve and observed metallographic microstructure of the samples at different temperatures. Rapid establishment of geometric model through the use of Pro/Engineer, application of Pro/Mechnica analog normalizing temperature curve, observed the cross-section temperature field nephogram. Based on the analysis, been established by virtual prototype thermal analogue in the Pro/Mechnica with the measured cooling process is consistent. waste heat recovery system which is used in the production of cylinder drop stamping part is effective.
