AbstractFor the emergence of platform business, it is important to manage the stress that hosts receive from the business. Considering the characteristics of the platform business, stressors arise from social and technology dimension. In the global platform business (e.g., Airbnb), social dimension stressors mostly arise from the relationships among stakeholders, and technology dimension stressors arise from the system they utilize. This research aims to define this combination of social and technology stress as “Platform Stress.” Especially focusing on the technology dimension, this research empirically verified the relations of techno-stressors, burnout, and switching intention. Further, mediating effects of burnout in between the relationships demonstrates the importance of investigating the hosts’ stress. Exploring the platform stress from the technology-usage perspective, this research provides theoretical and managerial implications.

Abstract: Technology addiction has become an alarming disorder that has increasingly caught the attention of researchers, mental health counsellors and doctors. Unfortunately, those who are having the disorder do not realize that they are going through the phase of pleasurable, addictive experience of appealing themselves by long hours of social networking, gaming, and internet browsing; and affecting their psychological well-being. The symptoms of depression, anxiety, loneliness, avoidance of work and procrastination may be overlooked and hence be left untreated. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors contributing to technology addiction among UiTM Puncak Alam and UNNES, Semarang students applying SPSS v. 23. Data were collected from 656 undergraduate students of the two universities who participated in the survey: 317 and 339 questionnaires were collected from UiTM Puncak Alam, Selangor, Malaysia and UNNES, Semarang, Indonesia students respectively. The results show technology usage influenced technology addiction but psychological well-being did not affect technology addiction. Additionally, UiTM Puncak Alam students are more technology addicted compared to UNNES Semarang students. This distressing condition could become worse during the current Covid-19 pandemic period and prolonged movement control order (MCO) for students, regardless whether they stay at home or on campus. Implications of the findings are further discussed.   Keywords: Covid-19,Psychological Well-being,Technology Addiction, Technology Usage, University Students

This study examines technology in mediating human capital, customer capital, and organizational capital on SMEs' performance during Covid-19. To test the hypothesis, the PLS-SEM method was applied. Data collection was conducted by sharing questionnaiers to 150 owners of small industrial cluster in East Java, Indonesia. The empirical results show that human capital and technology usage directly affect significantly on SMEs' performance. Furthermore, technology usage has a significant influence in mediating human capital on firms' performance. We provide implications for using technology for practice and using a socio-technical approach by SMEs to face challenges related to their work organization in response to COVID-19 while maintaining their activities. We hope that our reflection will be a source of thought for scholars and practitioners to explore further using technology for SMEs to secure business continuity during COVID-19.JEL Classification: O2, O34, M21How to Cite:Faisol, Astuti, P., Winarko, S.
