As an important part of the DC micro-grid, DC solid-state transformers (DCSST) usually use a dual-loop control that combines the input equalization and output voltage loop. This strategy fails to ensure output equalization when the parameters of each dual active bridge (DAB) converter module are inconsistent, thus reducing the operational efficiency of the DCSST. To solve the above problems, a DCSST-balancing control strategy based on loop current suppression is presented. By fixing the phase-shifting angle within the bridge and adjusting the phase-shifting angle between bridges, the circulation current of each DAB converter module is reduced. Based on the double-loop control of the DAB, five controllers are nested outside each DAB submodule to achieve distributed control of the DCSST. The proposed control strategy can reduce the system circulation current with different circuit parameters of the submodules, ensure the balance of input voltage and output current of each submodule, and increase the robustness of the system. The simulation results verify the validity of the proposed method.

This paper examines the question of what kind of money will govern the 21st century by examining the developments which characterise this landscape. On the basis of a review of the available literature and evidence, it is clear that certain technological innovations, such as the movement towards electronic money, will undoubtedly change how we operate. However, the conclusion in this paper is less sanguine regarding the prospects of a global currency, regional monetary unions, or states’ exit from or central banks’ control of money. This paper also sees poor prospects for cryptocurrencies at the moment, given their focus on the decentralisation and politicisation of money, because money requires a backstopping force, making it inherently political. Finally, this paper considers how regulators may seek to ensure that money in its digital form is not taken advantage of and applied in malevolent activities. The study used correlation to establish the level of association among variables. A multiple regression analysis was used to draw an econometric model explaining the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. The following variables were used as independent variables: monetary aggregate (M1), harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), Euro Interbank Offered Rate (EURIBOR), US dollar/euro, and the USD value of Bitcoin. Multiple regression predicted that when inflation rises, the money supply will decrease. M1 includes cash in circulation, current deposits, and other than demand deposits. The study concludes that price increases encourage people to keep their money in longer-term deposits, including in cryptocurrency. Additionally, an increase in EURIBOR and US dollar/euro reduces the supply of money. Otherwise, an increase in the price of bitcoin in the economy would increase the overall money supply.

In this paper, a decentralized coordinated control method based on multi-agent system is proposed to improve the voltage stability of micro-grid. In lower-level agents, the decentralized control is designed as double-loop controllers for the inverter of each distributed energy resource, including an outer-loop power controller based on droop control and an inner-loop voltage/current controller based on fractional order proportion-integral-derivative (PID). In upper-level agents, the distributed coordinated control is designed to make voltage consensus and proportional power sharing of all distributed energy resources. Since each distributed coordinated control only requires its own and neighboring information, the communication bandwidth can be saved. The simulation results have verified the effectiveness in terms of power sharing, voltage stability, and suppressing circulation current.

In the present investigation, new formulations of CMCS/AA hydrogels with varying composition of Carboxymethyl chitosan, acrylic acid, and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) were prepared by free radical polymerization technique using benzoyl peroxide as catalyst. The bioavailability of 5-FU through the oral route is very limited owing to its rapid metabolism and clearance from the general circulation. Current work was aimed at increasing the bioavailability of 5-FU via smart hydrogels and at investigating their potential in delivering 5-FU to target colon cancer. Swelling studies were carried out on dried hydrogel discs in different USP phosphate buffer solutions of various pH values. Porosity and gel fraction of all the samples were measured. 5-FU was used as a model drug and loaded in selected hydrogel samples. The amount of drug loaded and released was determined. Experimental data was fitted to various model equations, and corresponding parameters were calculated to study the release mechanism. Many structural parameters were calculated. The prepared hydrogels were also characterized by FTIR and SEM to study the structure, crystallinity, compatibility, and morphology of the smart hydrogels. The biocompatibility and cytotoxic potential blank and drug-loaded hydrogels were assessed through MTT assay. The prepared hydrogels were found to be an excellent carrier for 5-FU in targeting colon cancer.
