In these days, electric vehicles are enthusiastically researched as a countermeasure to air pollution, although these do not have practicality compared to gasoline-powered vehicles. The aim of this study is to transport energy wirelessly and efficiently to an electric vehicle. To accomplish this, we focused on frequency of an alternating current (AC) power supply, and suggested a method which determined the value of it constantly. In particular, a wireless power transfer circuit and a lithium-ion battery in an electric vehicle were expressed with an equivalent circuit, and efficiency of energy transfer was calculated. Furthermore, the optimal frequency which maximizes efficiency was found, and the behavior of voltage was demonstrated on a secondary circuit. Finally, we could obtain the larger electromotive force at the secondary inductor than an input voltage.

Origin and triggers of power quality (PQ) events must be identified in prior, in order to take preventive steps to enhance power quality. However it is important to identify, localize and classify the PQ events to determine the causes and origins of PQ disturbances. In this paper a novel algorithm is presented to classify voltage variations into six different PQ events considering the space phasor model (SPM) diagrams, dual tree complex wavelet transforms (DTCWT) sub bands and the convolution neural network (CNN) model. The input voltage data is converted into SPM data, the SPM data is transformed using 2D DTCWT into low pass and high pass sub bands which are simultaneously processed by the 2D CNN model to perform classification of PQ events. In the proposed method CNN model based on Google Net is trained to perform classification of PQ events with default configuration as in deep neural network designer in MATLAB environment. The proposed algorithm achieve higher accuracy with reduced training time in classification of events than compared with reported PQ event classification methods.

Modern microprocessors in high-power applications require a low input voltage and a high input current, necessitating the use of multiphase buck converters. As per microprocessor computing complexity, the power requirements of the switching converter will also be more important and will be increasing as per load demand. Previous studies introduced some methods to achieve the advantages associated with multiphase regulators. This paper presents an effective closed closed-loop control scheme for multiphase buck converters that reduces ripple and improves transient response. It is suitable for applications that require regulated output voltage with effectively reduced ripple. The analysis began with a simulation of the entire design using the OrCAD tool, followed by the construction of a hardware setup. Experiments on a 200 Khz, 9 V, 12 A, 2-phase buck voltage regulator were conducted and the proposed experiment found to be useful.

We present a set of technical means for creating a data collection system. We carried out the formalization of the processes of implementing the control functions of a technical object. The multifunctional data collection system consists of functionally complete devices that perform certain functions in the context of the system operation. This system, on the one hand, can be one of the nodes of a distributed data collection system, on the other hand, it can be used autonomously. We show the relevance of the system creation. The development is based on the RISC microcontroller STM32H743VIT6, ARM Cortex-M7 family, operating at a frequency of up to 400 MHz. The main modules of the system include: a 20-input voltage distributor; a power supply and settings module; a digital control module; a module for analyzing, storing and transmitting data to a control computer. We considered the composition and purpose of these modules. A chain of devices is responsible for data collection in the system under consideration: sensor - matching circuit - ADC - microcontroller. Since the system includes not only an ADC but also a DAC, an object management system can be implemented on its basis. The choice of sensors for taking information is due to the characteristics of the object of control. It is possible to manually measure the electrical parameters of the communication circuits, including checking the power supply of IDE and SATA devices. The presented data collection system is a tool that can be used to automate the processes of monitoring the condition of technical facilities

Multilevel inverters (MLIs) are capable of producing high-quality output voltage and handling large amounts of power. This reduces the size of the filter while also simplifying the circuitry. As a result, they have a wide range of applications in industries, particularly in smart grids. The input voltage boosting feature is required to use the MLI with renewable energy. Moreover, many components are required to get higher output voltage levels that add weight and cost to the circuit. Numerous MLI topologies have been identified to minimize the losses, device count, and device ratings. A seven-level modified H-bridge inverter with a reduced component count, and reduced THD is presented in this paper. Two DC sources with six IGBTs have been used to generate a seven-level output voltage, and the Aquila Optimizer (AO) has been implemented to get the regulated output. MATLAB/Simulink environment has been used for designing the simulation model. Furthermore, the simulation result has been validated in the laboratory on a hardware setup using the DSP-TMS320F28335 Launchpad. With the reduced number of switching devices as well as the dc supply, the size of the inverter is compacted and becomes more economical.

A step-up for a non-isolated interleaved differential capacitor clamped boost (IDCCB) DC–DC converter is proposed in this manuscript. Because of its ability to produce high voltage gains, it is used in high-power applications. This converter’s modelling and control design are applicable to any number of phases. A six-phase interleaved differential capacitor clamped boost prototype is tested in this work, with an input voltage of 60 V, an output voltage of 360 V, and a nominal output power of 2.2 kW. The components of the converter are placed and controlled in such a way that the output voltage is the sum of the two capacitor voltages and the input voltage, which is two times higher than the supply voltage when compared to a conventional interleaved differential dual-boost converter. This converter reduces the stress on the capacitor with reference to the conventional interleaved differential boost converter for the same conversion gain. This prototype is considered and the developed approach is applied, after which the experimental results are obtained. This converter has potential for application in areas such as renewable energy conversion and electric vehicles.

Sonoporation employs ultrasound accompanied by microbubble (MB) cavitation to induce the reversible disruption of cell membranes and has been exploited as a promising intracellular macromolecular delivery strategy. Due to the damage to cells resulting from strong cavitation, it is difficult to balance efficient delivery and high survival rates. In this paper, a traveling surface acoustic wave (TSAW) device, consisting of a TSAW chip and a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) channel, was designed to explore single-cell sonoporation using targeted microbubbles (TMBs) in a non-cavitation regime. A TSAW was applied to precisely manipulate the movement of the TMBs attached to MDA-MB-231 cells, leading to sonoporation at a single-cell level. The impact of input voltage and the number of TMBs on cell sonoporation was investigated. In addition, the physical mechanisms of bubble cavitation or the acoustic radiation force (ARF) for cell sonoporation were analyzed. The TMBs excited by an ARF directly propelled cell membrane deformation, leading to reversible perforation in the cell membrane. When two TMBs adhered to the cell surface and the input voltage was 350 mVpp, the cell sonoporation efficiency went up to 83%.

This paper proposes a solar-powered resonant inverter fed a high-voltage DC power supply. In this converter, switching loss is controlled through zero-voltage switching and zero-current switching. This converter comprises a solar panel, boost converter, full-bridge LLC resonant tank, power transformer, and rectifier circuit. All power switches are operated with an interleaved switching cycle to ensure equal power flow from the tank. This proposed converter is designed to produce a regulated 19.5 KV at output, with an input voltage range of 300–350 V. The proposed converter was simulated in PSpice to verify the results.

Abstract In this paper, we propose a logic-in-memory (LIM) inverter comprising a silicon nanowire (SiNW) n-channel feedback field-effect transistor (n-FBFET) and a SiNW p-channel metal oxide semiconductor field-effect transistor (p-MOSFET). Further, we investigated the hybrid logic and memory operations of the inverter using mixed-mode technology computer-aided design simulations. Our LIM inverter exhibited a high voltage gain of 296.8 (V/V) when transitioning from logic ‘1’ to ‘0’ and 7.9 (V/V) when transitioning from logic ‘0’ to ‘1’, while holding calculated logic at zero input voltage. The energy band diagrams of the n-FBFET structure demonstrated that the holding operation of the inverter was implemented by controlling the positive feedback loop. Moreover, the output logic can remain constant without any supply voltage, resulting in zero static power consumption.

Power converters assume a significant part in fuel cell power generation systems and solar power conversion systems which are an alternative to fossil fuel production systems. There is therefore a demand for high quality power conditioning used in PEMFC systems and photovoltaic panels. This chapter proposes a hybrid electric power (FC/PV) production strategy with the use of converter topology as the power interface and also introduces a three-level inverter topology for different operating levels. The converter increases the input voltage to the rated voltage and turns into a DC bus; the multi-level inverter converts the voltage to AC and supplies AC loads. This chapter develops a hybrid electric power generation strategy, which can produce output with positive and zero sequences. Integrating the three-stage inverter into the hybrid renewable energy (FC/PV) production system allows for near sinusoidal current with low THD. The topology of hybrid energy production using the multi-level converter is tested on Matlab.
