Abstract Background Traumatic arthrotomy of the wrist is most commonly detected using the saline load test (SLT); however, little data exists on the effectiveness of the SLT to this specific joint. The use of computed tomography (CT) scan has been validated as an alternative method to detect traumatic arthrotomy of the knee, as the presence of intra-articular air can be seen when there is violation of the joint capsule. Question/Purpose The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of CT scan to identify arthrotomy of the wrist capsule and compare the diagnostic performance of CT versus traditional SLT. Materials and Methods Ten fresh frozen cadavers which had undergone transhumeral amputation were initially used in this study. A baseline CT scan was performed to ensure no intra-articular air existed prior to intervention. After baseline CT, an arthrotomy was created at the 6R radiocarpal portal site. The wrists then underwent a postarthrotomy CT to identify the presence or absence of intra-articular air. Following CT, the wrists were subjected to the SLT to detect the presence of extravasation from the arthrotomy. Results Nine cadavers were included following baseline CT scan. Following arthrotomy, intra-articular air was visualized in eight of the nine cadavers in the postarthrotomy CT scan. Air was seen in the radiocarpal joint in eight of the nine wrists; midcarpal joint in seven of the nine wrists; and distal radioulnar joint in six of the nine wrists. All wrists (nine of the nine) demonstrated extravasation during the SLT. The mean volume of extravasation occurred at 3.7 mL (standard deviation = 2.6 mL), with a range of 1 to 7 mL. Conclusion CT scan correctly identified eight of the nine simulated traumatic arthrotomies. Injection of 7 mL during the SLT was necessary to identify 100% of the arthrotomies. Clinical Relevance CT scan is a sensitive modality for detection of traumatic arthrotomy of the wrist in a cadaveric model.

This study selected Google and Naver, the most recognizable Internet portals in Korea, as subjects for analysis. “Postpartum obesity” and “postpartum depression” were used as keywords for data collection. This study aimed to provide basic data for solving maternal problems using big data. Keywords related to postpartum obesity were collected from the portal site Google from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2019. The collected data were analyzed through simple frequency analysis, N-gram analysis, and keyword network. This study can be used as basic data for postpartum obesity-related programs or academic research. It is also expected to be used for research on the development of a mobile-based customized healthcare system focused on maternal health. Previous papers and data are still insufficient at solving the physical and mental problems related to postpartum obesity and depression. It is necessary to find ways to continuously integrate and collect data from mothers across the country.

To achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, Korea has been expanding its investment in renewal energy distribution and technology development. However, with this rapid expansion of renewable energy, public concern about it has grown. This study developed and used a big data analysis-based procedure to analyze the questions registered on Naver, the largest portal site in Korea, from 2008 to 2020 to identify public concern over renewable energy. The big data analysis-based procedure consisted of two steps. The first was a frequency analysis to identify the most frequently registered words. The second was to classify questions using term frequency-inverse document frequency (TF-IDF) weight and cosine similarity based on word2vec. The analysis revealed the most frequently registered words related to renewable energy, such as “solar power,” “power generation,” “energy,” and “wind power.” It also revealed the most frequently registered questions, such as those related to solar panel installation, renewable energy generation methods, and certificates. To continue expanding renewable energy, it is becoming increasingly important to understand the public’s concerns and create a method to resolve their objections to renewable energy. It is expected that the procedure in this study may provide relevant insight for the method.
