AbstractWe compute asymptotic estimates for the Fourier coefficients of two mock theta functions, which come from Bailey pairs derived by Lovejoy and Osburn. To do so, we employ the circle method due to Wright and a modified Tauberian theorem. We encounter cancelation in our estimates for one of the mock theta functions due to the auxiliary function $$\theta _{n,p}$$ θ n , p arising from the splitting of Hickerson and Mortenson. We deal with this by using higher-order asymptotic expansions for the Jacobi theta functions.

A refined asymptotics of the Jacobi theta functions and their logarithmic derivatives have been received. The asymptotics of the Nevanlinna characteristics of the indicated functions and the arbitrary elliptic function have been found. The estimation of the type of the Weierstrass sigma functions has been given.

AbstractWe investigate the integrability of Euler–Lagrange equations associated with 2D second-order Lagrangians of the form $$\begin{aligned} \int f(u_{xx},u_{xy},u_{yy})\ \mathrm{d}x\mathrm{d}y. \end{aligned}$$ ∫ f ( u xx , u xy , u yy ) d x d y . By deriving integrability conditions for the Lagrangian density f, examples of integrable Lagrangians expressible via elementary functions, Jacobi theta functions and dilogarithms are constructed. A link of second-order integrable Lagrangians to WDVV equations is established. Generalisations to 3D second-order integrable Lagrangians are also discussed.

Abstract We consider autocorrelation functions for supersymmetric quantum mechanical systems (consisting of a fermion and a boson) confined in trigonometric Pöschl–Teller partner potentials. We study the limit of rescaled autocorrelation functions (at random time) as the localization of the initial state goes to infinity. The limiting distribution can be described using pairs of Jacobi theta functions on a suitably defined homogeneous space, as a corollary of the work of Cellarosi and Marklof. A construction by Contreras-Astorga and Fernández provides large classes of Pöschl-Teller partner potentials to which our analysis applies.

Abstract We obtain asymptotics for the Airy kernel Fredholm determinant on two intervals. We give explicit formulas for all the terms up to and including the oscillations of order $1$, which are expressed in terms of Jacobi $\theta $-functions.

Summary Four distinct solutions exist for the potential distribution around two equal circular parallel conducting cylinders, charged to the same potential. Their equivalence is demonstrated, and the resulting analytical identities are discussed. The identities relate the Jacobi elliptic function $sn$, the Jacobi theta functions $\theta _1 ,~\theta _2 $ and infinite series over trigonometric and hyperbolic functions.

Abstract We introduce and study a new family of $q$-translation-invariant determinantal point processes on the two-sided $q$-lattice. We prove that these processes are limits of the $q$–$zw$ measures, which arise in the $q$-deformation of harmonic analysis on $U(\infty )$, and express their correlation kernels in terms of Jacobi theta functions. As an application, we show that the $q$–$zw$ measures are diffuse. Our results also hint at a link between the two-sided $q$-lattice and rows/columns of Young diagrams.
