To improve the accuracy and reliability of the on-board navigation system positioning, the positioning control algorithm of vehicle navigation system based on wireless tracking technology is proposed. By using modern information fusion technology, the accurate positioning of vehicle integrated navigation is realized, and the design goal of omnidirectional, all weather, and self-contained positioning function is realized. Finally, the test shows that the accuracy and reliability of the positioning control algorithm of vehicle navigation system based on wireless tracking technology are improved than existing point system, speed measurement accuracy can reach 0.02 m/s, and positioning accuracy is about 18 meters. The vehicle operation efficiency and safety are greatly improved, and the traffic capacity is improved. And the traffic congestion is effectively alleviated, which provides reliable guarantee for the realization of traffic management automation and intelligent vehicle driving.

Servo drives are one of the most widely utilized devices in various mechanical systems and industrial applications to provide precise position control. The study of servo driver produc-tiveness and performance index is the important task. In this work, PID controller and fuzzy log-ic controller (FLC) were developed to control the position of a DC servo drive. The MATLAB Simulink program was investigated and implemented to calculate the values of servo drive pa-rameters, and a scheme for simulating the operation of a servo drive using different controllers was presented. A mathematical model of a DC servo drive for a positioning control system has been proposed. The control characteristics of the PID controller, fuzzy logic controller and fuzzy PID controller are compared. The simulation results have shown that the PID controller allows for an overshoot of about 1 % with a settling time of about 4 sec. The use of the fuzzy PID con-troller reduces the maximum overshoot to 1 % and decreases the settling time to 2 sec. As a re-sult, the fuzzy PID controller allows for better performance and efficiency compared to other controllers.

Abstract A tuning approach for the robust and optimal dynamic positioning control of BlueROV2 subjected to currents with varying speeds and headings is presented. A 2D planar dynamic model of BlueROV2 is developed in Matlab/Simulink and used for the study. The surge, sway and yaw motions are controlled by individual PID controllers. An extensive sensitivity study is carried out on a total of nine cases with different current speeds, current headings, and measurement noise levels. The results show that tuning a model solely using step responses from a linearized model might not produce optimal results. Further it is important to verify the system responses in time domain after tuning. Finally, it is observed that re-tuning the controllers for each simulation case may lead to better performance. However, it is also shown that the base case controller gains are sufficiently robust and lead to good performances for the other simulation cases.

Abstract This paper designs a fuze automatic detection manipulator. Aiming at the problem of autonomous alignment and docking between operation manipulator and detection device, a visual positioning control algorithm for autonomous alignment between fuze and detection device based on fuzzy logic is proposed. Taking the relative position and deviation angle of fuze and detection device as control variables, a two-dimensional fuzzy controller is designed. Through the dynamic adjustment of the controller, the optimal motion parameters can be output. Compared with the traditional fuze detection method, the algorithm further improves the efficiency and positioning accuracy of fuze detection.

The paper discusses a new approach to improving the accuracy of reproducing the task signal by a precision circular transfer table based on the implementation in the form of a mechatronic module. This design eliminates the disadvantages of the traditional design, such as backlash, failure when fixing the face-plate. The mechatronic module is a gearless connection between the face-plate and the electric motor. The new design required a new approach to the operation of the automatic tracking and stage positioning control system. In the process of stage positioning, thermal deformations occur, and therefore, a feature is the inclusion of an additional automatic control system for the cooling of an executive synchronous electric motor with permanent magnets in the rotor. The paper deals with the issue of the interrelationship between the positioning and tracking systems with the thermal deformation compensation system. Simulation of the operation of two systems has been carried out.

This paper describes how to tighten M1.4 screws by controlling a manipulator. The whole process is based on a human–machine interface designed using Visual Studio C++ to run image processing algorithms and control the position of a manipulator. Two charge-coupled device cameras are used. One is fixed on the stationary frame above screw holes and used to take pictures of the holes. The positions of the holes are determined using image processing algorithms and then transformed into the coordinate system of the manipulator by using coordinate transformation. The other camera, installed on the end effect of the manipulator, photographs the screw hole to fine-tune the position of the manipulator, improving positioning control. The image processing methods including grayscale, Gaussian filter, bilateral filter, binarization, edge detection, center of gravity, and minimum circumcircle are used to find the center coordinates of the target holes. Experimental study shows that M1.4 screws can be tightened into the target holes with the manipulator.

Most of the controllers that were proposed to control the pneumatic positioning system did not consider the limitations or constraints of the system in their algorithms. Non-compliance with the prescribed system constraints may damage the pneumatic components and adversely affect its positioning accuracy, especially when the system is controlled in real-time environment. Model predictive controller (MPC) is one of the predictive controllers that is able to consider the constraint of the system in its algorithm. Therefore, constrained MPC (CMPC) was proposed in this study to improve the accuracy of pneumatic positioning system while considering the constraints of the system. The mathematical model of pneumatic system was determined by system identification technique and the control signal to the valves were considered as the constraints of the pneumatic system when developing the controller. In order to verify the accuracy and reliability of CMPC, repetitive experiments on the CMPC strategy was implemented. The existing predictive controller, that was used to control the pneumatic system such as predictive functional control (PFC), was also compared. The experimental results revealed that CMPC effectively improved the position accuracy of the pneumatic system compared to PFC strategy. However, CMPC not capable to provide a fast response as PFC.
