AbstractThe subcontractor selection decision is inherently a multicriterion problem. It is a decision of strategic importance for companies. The nature of this decision is usually complex and unstructured. Management science techniques might be helpful tools for solving these kinds of decision-making problems. In this research, the fuzzy logic method and the analytic hierarchy process were applied for the selection of suitable subcontractors in an apparel supply chain. In general, many factors, such as quality level, price offer, and delivery delay, were considered to determine the most suitable and reliable subcontractors that fit the company's strategy. This survey is carried out using the database of an apparel company manufacturing denim products.

One of the modern directions of increase in economic efficiency of the enterprise is a production planning automation, including the automated scheduling of production. Introduction of ready program solutions for automated preparation of production schedules (APS, MES-systems) at enterprises is constrained by the complexity and high cost of adapting to the specific conditions of the enterprise, implementation and maintenance. The complexity of the problem is determined by a large number of product names, rapid changes in the operational environment and the need for clear interaction with the warehouse. The task is multicriterion as it is necessary to provide the maximum loading of each production line with a minimum of readjustments, and at the same time the schedule must comply with the terms of shipment of products, taking into account the availability of raw materials for production. Therefore, the authors have developed an algorithm and software that allow for an acceptable time to make an admissible, often optimal schedule for the production of preinsulated pipes and shaped products in batches with the individual completion of consistent service, taking into account production and technological limitations in SMITH-Yartsevo, Ltd (Russia). In this case, each group of products is divided into batches in accordance with the McNaughton rule (wrap around rule), and the resulting batches are distributed along the production lines. For the choice of the optimal schedule it is necessary to make several schedules with different values of the number of readjustments and select the one that best meets the criteria of the task.

Abstract The multicriteria decision process consists of five main steps: definition of the optimisation problem, determination of the weight structure of the decision criteria, design of the evaluation matrix, selection of the optimal evaluation method and ranking of solutions. It is often difficult to obtain the optimal solution to a multicriterion problem. The main reason is the subjective element of the model – the weight functions of the decision criteria. Expert opinions are usually taken into account in their determination. The aim of this article is to present a novel method of minimizing the uncertainty of the weights of the decision criteria using Monte Carlo simulation and method of data reconciliation. The proposed method is illustrated by the example of multicriterion social effectiveness evaluation for electric power supply to a building using renewable energy sources.

In this article we have explored the issue of optimization of HPP site location in a cascade depending on social-economic, environmental and energy limitations taking into account available cadastre of water power resources. A multicriterion problem of optimization on the network was formulated. Pareto optimal solution of this problem was obtained by means of the developed mathematical model of optimization of the HPP site location in the cascade. The optimization algorithm to solve this problem has been developed
