AbstractIn this paper, we study how an oligopolist influences the coalition structure in federated cloud markets. Specifically, we use cooperative game theory to model the circumstances under which a cloud provider prefers to join a cloud federation vis-a-vis consider taking a price offer made by an oligopolist. We consider two price offering strategies for an oligopolist: non-adaptive and adaptive. In non-adaptive strategy, an oligopolist makes a price offer to all the cloud providers simultaneously. It can be noted that the oligopolist can buy-out all the cloud providers by making a price offer which is equal to a core allocation and the total price offer made by the oligopolist is equal to the value of the grand coalition. In adaptive strategy, the oligopolist approaches the cloud providers one after another in a sequential manner. We show that by using the adaptive strategy, the oligopolist can buy-out all the cloud providers at a total price offer which is less than that of the non-adaptive strategy.

There are still many cases of online buying and selling fraud, efforts are needed to reformulate existing regulations that have not been able to accommodate the interests of consumers, so it is also necessary to change the Consumer Protection Act which is more secure in providing legal protection to consumers in online buying and selling transactions as well as regulation of business actors. that adapts to the development of information technology and social changes in society. The costs of the organization are the assets of the organization, including material values, labor re-sources, which transfer their value to finished products, work, services. In modern economic conditions of economic activity of an economic entity, the simple assignment of costs to the cost of production has lost its significance. This is due to the fact that it is necessary to satisfy the request of the end consumer through a price offer for the product, as well as the request of the state through the payment of taxes to the treasury. Consequently, management is required to implement measures to manage the costs of an economic entity. This article discusses the question of what methods can be used to implement cost management, and in addition, it presents a basic conceptual model for managing production processes of an economic entity and a model of a production cost management system using the example of the coal industry.

AbstractThe subcontractor selection decision is inherently a multicriterion problem. It is a decision of strategic importance for companies. The nature of this decision is usually complex and unstructured. Management science techniques might be helpful tools for solving these kinds of decision-making problems. In this research, the fuzzy logic method and the analytic hierarchy process were applied for the selection of suitable subcontractors in an apparel supply chain. In general, many factors, such as quality level, price offer, and delivery delay, were considered to determine the most suitable and reliable subcontractors that fit the company's strategy. This survey is carried out using the database of an apparel company manufacturing denim products.

The article describes the difficulties faced by organizations engaged in engineering and geodetic work at power plants, with participation in procurement. It is shown that the majority of procurement participants are representatives of small and medium-sized businesses. The factors affecting the reduction in the price offer are given. It is noted that a decrease in the initial (maximum) price during the procurement procedures varies from 75 to 90%, which cannot but lead to a decrease in the quality of work, and often to falsification of reporting documentation. Conclusions are made on the example of three realized purchases by the definition of the contractor for geodetic work at thermal power plants.

Minich and Price offer insights into the way the Caddo participated in the Mississippian Culture sphere using both semiotics and symmetry analysis of surface designs on 150 ceramic vessels from three sites in the Ouachita and Red River valleys. Symmetry in surface designs persisted over 900 years of occupation in the Southern Caddo area, but the variety and distribution of dominant symmetry types changed over time and space, suggesting a local preference for, and symbolic association with, particular symmetry types. Variety in symmetry types increases through time and correlates with both changes in sociopolitical organization within individual Caddo communities and changes related to larger regional influences. While differences in design structure choice may reflect individual community identity, the overall continuity in form, style, and technique are factors that made Caddo ceramics symbolic of the cohesive nature of the Mississippian cultural tradition as a whole.

SUMMARY: Selection of chemical protective clothing in industry is based on the known hazards. Firefighters and other intervention personnel face danger from many different hazardous chemicals which are usually not known in advance. On the whole, firefighters select the highest possible protection level offered by gastight suits. Their choice are frequently still reusable garments, although limited and single use garments, beside lower price, offer a number of important advantages in terms of weight, volume, chemical resistance, ease of maintenance, and comfort. New European norms do not divide chemical protective garments into reusable and limited use any more, which is in concert with the progress achieved in material technology. The issue of total lifecycle cost has become the decisive factor in the selection process. Following correct selection based on risk assessment is the maintenance specified in manufacturers’ recommendations, which is a critical factor in garment functionality. Modelling toxicity for new materials gives the opportunity for more precise risk assessment regarding permeation of dangerous chemicals and removes certain deficiencies in European norms. Some of most important parameters which must be analysed and compared during selection process are presented in the paper.
