Introduction. Acute liver damage with ethanol and its surrogates and chemicals remains an urgent problem. Therefore, studies of the use of hepatoprotector in acute liver damage by various toxicants in the experiment are relevant. The purpose of this study is an experimental evaluation of the use of ademetionine in the early stages of the toxic effects of carbon tetrachloride and ethanol. Materials and methods. The therapeutic effect of the drug “Heptor” in acute intoxication with carbon tetrachloride (subcutaneous administration at a dose of 2 g/kg) and ethanol (oral administration at a dose of 4 g/kg weight) was studied. Studies of metabolic processes in the liver were carried out based on biochemical parameters of rat blood serum. Results. The studies showed that normalization of metabolic processes was observed after introducing “Heptor” against the background of exposure to both toxicants. The therapeutic effect of ademetionine in the case of carbon tetrachloride intoxication had a positive impact after 24 hours of administration and persisted after 72 hours of the experiment. These provisions were based on the results obtained: the restoration of the activity of marker enzymes of hepatocytes (AsAT, AlAT, LDH), the concentration of uric acid and cholesterol, and the indicators of protein metabolism were revealed. The introduction of ademetionine after ethanol intoxication helped restore the function of hepatocytes, which led to the normalization of protein metabolism. The drug stopped hyperenzymemia, which confirmed its membrane-protective properties. Conclusion. “Heptor” has a regenerating, detoxifying and membrane-protective effect in acute liver lesions with carbon tetrachloride and ethanol. The obtained data confirm the universality of this drug, based on the possibility of using various mechanisms of therapeutic action, which allows us to recommend ademetionine as a hepatoprotector to prevent early liver damage when exposed to high doses of multiple toxicants.

The aim of the study was to study the effectiveness of the use of immunomodulators and antioxidants in the correction of immune status parameters in patients with adenomyosis. 70 patients were examined, including 57 women (the main group), who were diagnosed with adenomyosis according to the results of a comprehensive clinical, ultrasound and hysteroscopic examination. The control group consisted of 23 gynecologically healthy women. After verification of the diagnosis, all patients with hypertension received standard treatment (SL) (clinical recommendations of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation from 2016). Among the female patients, 19 women received only SL (1st subgroup). 38 exhaust gases examined, in addition to SL, received various combinations of antioxidant, immunomodulator, and membrane protector and were divided into two subgroups. The second subgroup included 20 patients in addition to the SL receiving sodium ribonucleate; Hypoxene and phospholipids. The third subgroup included 18 patients who additionally received Inosine + Nicotinamide + Riboflavin + Succinic acid; Meglumine acridone acetate, and glycyrrhizic acid + phospholipids. The analysis of the cytokine status and the compliment system was performed at the time of admission and by the 15th day of observation. Detected changes of the cytokine status, complement system activation, increased oxygen-dependent activity of neutrophils in the peripheral blood (increased production of active oxygen forms as a result of respiratory burst) confirm the presence of immune inflammation on the systemic level. Insufficient clinical-laboratory efficacy of ST in the correction of immune changes has justified the use of drugs with immunomodulating, antioxidant, and membrane protective properties in the pharmacological therapy of adenomyosis, which have been successfully used in the treatment of other diseases with similar disorders.Optimal combinations of immunomodulators and antioxidants in the correction of the immune status of patients with adenomyosis were revealed. The study performed demonstrates the efficacy of correcting immune status parameters in patients with adenomyosis when the standard treatment is combined with antioxidant and immunomodulating agents.

This paper presents experimental data on the effect of the drug Mexidol-Vet® on the course and outcome of acute radiation damage in rats caused by a single, general, external gamma radiation. There was a 20 % decrease in mortality in animals relative to the control values, activation of erythropoiesis, and a decrease in the severity of erythrocytopenia, leukocytopenia, and thrombocytopenia with the use of Mexidol-Vet®. The supposed mechanism of radioprotective and therapeutic action is the pronounced antioxidant and membrane-protective properties of the drug.

The article presents the results of the development of technology for obtaining and evaluating the biological activity of a feed additive containing humic acids. The technology of obtaining humic derivatives of high quality and with high stability of components from organic livestock wastes has been optimized. A humic feed additive has been developed and an estimation of its biological activity in vitro using a cell level test system (Paramecium caudatum) has been made. The presence of membrane-protective properties in humic derivatives has been revealed, which discovers the prospects of their use in animal husbandry and veterinary medicine as the means, possessing a hepatoprotective orientation and increasing the resistance of the organism to various unfavorable factors.
