Abstract The main objective of the paper is to investigate the feasibility of small-scale grid-connected PV systems with various PV technologies (mono-crystalline silicon and poly-crystalline silicon) and sun-tracking modes including fixed tilt and 2-axis systems for rooftop households in Amman, Jordan. A case study is applied to Al Jama’a and Abu Nusir, Amman, Jordan. Typical households were chosen for this region to establish a load profile according to monthly electrical bills. The results show that the annual electrical energy from fixed small-scale PV panels tilted at an optimal angle was ranged from 3499.04kWh to 8811.62kWh, while the annual electrical energy from the PV tracking system was within the range of 4788.05-12128.30kWh. This amount of energy output would contribute significantly to reduce fossil fuel consumption and CO2 emissions in the country. Moreover, it is found that the highest energy consumption can be covered by PV systems is recorded in winter. Also, the average energy production cost is ranged from 0.0444-0.0530$/kWh for all proposed systems based on the financial assumptions used in this study. It is concluded that the small-scale grid-connected rooftop PV systems are found to be economically justifiable.

An image adaptive noise reduction enhancement algorithm based on NSCT is proposed to perform image restoration preprocessing on the defocused image obtained under the microscope. Defocused images acquired under micro-nano scale optical microscopy, usually with inconspicuous details, edges and contours, affect the accuracy of subsequent observation tasks. Due to its multi-scale and multi-directionality, the NSCT transform has superior transform functions and can obtain more textures and edges of images. Combined with the characteristics of micro-nanoscale optical defocus images, the NSCT inverse transform is performed on all sub-bands to reconstruct the image. Finally, the experimental results of the standard 500nm scale grid, conductive probe and triangular probe show that the proposed algorithm has a better image enhancement effect and significantly improves the quality of out-of-focus images.

Recently, in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as in other countries of theAsian region, it is becoming more and more urgent to strengthen the operated reinforcedconcrete structures with external reinforcement systems with carbon materials during thereconstruction of any engineering structures. In order to eliminate the consequences of concretedestruction and reinforcement corrosion as a result of long-term exposure to natural factors andaggressive environments, carbon fiber external reinforcement systems are widely used during the operation of structures designed to repair and strengthen the load-bearing structures of artificialstructures. External reinforcement is used to increase the seismic resistance, strength andreliability of the structures being built, as well as to increase the time between repairs. The repairsystem provides for the use of materials and technologies that ensure stopping and preventingfurther corrosion of reinforcement and concrete, reliable adhesion of repair compounds with oldconcrete, increased water resistance, frost resistance and chemical resistance. This articledescribes FibARM carbon materials that are used to strengthen columns and pylons, broadbandreinforcement of slabs, beams, crossbars and structures with increased requirements forreinforcement joints, covering reinforcement of concrete with large-scale grid cracking. The mainmethods of strengthening the stretched and bent elements of building structures of artificialstructures are considered, and the technology of work on strengthening the structures of artificialstructures is also given.
