Abstract Simultaneously engineering the mesoscale mass transfer and surface reactions on the electrode can promote the kinetics of oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Herein, we report the simultaneously modulation of the mesoscale diffusion and Mo-Fe-C sites formation over monodispersed hollow Fe@MoS2-C sub-micro reactors for boosted OER performance. According to finite element simulation and analysis, the hollow nanostructured MoS2-C host possessed much better mesoscale diffusion properties than its solid and yolk–shell counterparts. Notably, the sulfur vacancies and intercalated carbon in the sub-micro reactor offered a unique microenvironment for Fe anchoring on Mo-Fe-C sites. The stability and activity of the sites were revealed by theoretical calculations. The resultant Fe@MoS2-C presented an OER overpotential of 194 mV, which is much better than those of the Fe-based single-atom catalysts reported to data. Our monodispersed sub-micro reactor combined the advantage of mesoscale diffusion and single-atom sites, and it may have broad prospects for complex electrocatalytic reactions.

As a philosophical support, green chemistry (GC) becomes at present well-combined into the scientific system to assist scientists and engineers consider how to decrease or remove waste and avert the employment and formation of hazardous substances in the design phase of chemicals. Such design attempts in turn affect the full life-cycle of the chemical, from getting the starting materials until the end-use product is recycled or disposed of. There is a considerable advance noted in such direction during the last three decades, this review focuses on GC research. As a comparatively fresh technique, revision in process intensification (PI) is fast and investigation could rapidly lead to outstanding outcomes. However, numerous features of PI could take more time to be fact. Much of the study stays in academic and industrial laboratories, even if large-scale implementations of micro-reactors are actuality. Fields of PI enterprise that have progressed quickly are the expansion of carbon capture techniques, an increasing interest in GC, and the beginning of momentous study into connecting solar energy to intensified methods like chemical reactions. Electric fields (e.g., microwaves and ultrasound) are observed in larger usages, and the application of electrokinetic forces at the micro- and nanoscale persist to fascinate. Huge investigations are working for the sake of ideas like the perfect reactor. PI remains a motif leading to attain a sustainable society. This work may be an orientation in the investigation of product development and design, production and application, in a constructive and stimulating way.

This short communication gives an overall account of small modular reactors and then walks through the nuclear micro reactors as the next generation of small modular reactors, which is the next wave of innovation for these SMRs. These next wave ride on the fact that future nuclear reactors are getting smaller and modular as well transportable. In this paper we are covering a summary and overall aspect of Generation IV (GEN-IV) or they are also known as Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) as well. In this book, we also, cover Nuclear Micro Reactor and its need and implementation within Department of Defense (DOD) military organizations.

Abstract In general, nanostructured materials with specific size, shape and geometry have unique and different properties from bulk materials. Using reaction media with nanometer and micrometer dimensions, they can produce new nanomaterials with interesting and remarkable properties. In general, nano-reactors are nanometer-sized chambers in which chemical reactions can take place. of course, nanoreactors are somehow part of the reaction, and this is the main difference between them and micro-reactors. One of the useful solutions to achieve the environment of nanoreactors is the use of porous materials, so due to the importance of nanoreactors, porous structures of silicate and zeolite are among the most prominent and widely used compounds in this group.
