Abstract The article deals with the analysis of methods for assessing the energy efficiency of data centers according to the Power Usage Effectiveness method. The demand for data centers which consumes a large amount of electricity is growing with the growth of digitalization and the accumulation of big data in the network. The energy consumption of the cooling system for the machine room accounts for a significant part of the operating costs of the building. Free cooling in a refrigeration system reduces energy consumption much more than operating systems with a vapor-compression cycle. In 2006 according to The Green Grid, the assessment method of Power Usage Effectiveness has become an international standard for measuring energy efficiency and is widely used in the design and operation of data centers. In this regard, the operation principles of free-cooling chillers are considered. The calculation example of the system payback in free-cooling is also given.

AbstractThis paper presents a new design methodology for improving the installation of large size and long life cycle goods that need to be assembled in the field. The approach integrates a modified design for assembly (DfA) methodology. A new approach is proposed for integrating different DfA methodologies and tested in a real case study of a machine room-less (MRL) elevator. A tool for analyzing and quantifying the proposed solutions is developed. Improvements of approximately 20 pp are achieved during the elevator installation and on-site assembly process, which could mean a potential reduction in assembly time of 11 h or 6%. Additional extensions and guidelines are recommended to improve the methodology and the tool.

In view of the wide variety of equipment in the dispatch automation machine room and the dense arrangement of cabinets, a navigation technology suitable for the dispatch automation machine room is proposed on the intelligent companion tool cart. In this paper, three sensors of ultrasonic, infrared and lidar are designed to form an intelligent neural sensor, and the information received by the intelligent neural sensor is calculated to generate a vector map through a software algorithm. At the same time, a plane coordinate network is established. The grid coordinate unit accuracy is 0.1cm. At the same time, the concept of “virtual fence” was put forward to fix the workers at the working point, which increased the safety of work. Subsequently, an experimental test of positioning and navigation of the tool cart was carried out. The experimental results showed that the tool cart can accurately locate and generate a vector map with an accuracy error of less than 10cm. The navigation method has a good application effect and has a good promotion value.

Aiming at the problems of complicated equipment types, low work efficiency in the computer room and safety management of the whole work process in the current dispatching automation computer room, the research on the intelligent companion tool cart with the management function of tools and equipment is proposed. Through the hardware research on the overall structure of the tool trolley according to the needs of the machine room work, the design and development of a three-layer intelligent companion tool trolley provides a self-cleaning operation platform for the maintenance staff of the automated machine room. Afterwards, hardware researches on sensors, communication interfaces, toolboxes, and power supplies were carried out. The power supply conducts hardware research, designs the management method of radio frequency scanning tools, and realizes the management of necessary tools and common spare parts for maintenance in the computer room. At the same time, it automatically accompanies and tracks the whole process of video recording, and realizes the safety control and intelligent management of tools and tools for debugging special laptops, which provide a basis for future software design.
