Abstract The paper presents a novel and unified morphological description of numerals and pronouns, as compiled for the newest edition of the Prague Dependency Treebank (Prague Dependency Treebank – Consolidated 1.0) and its integral part the morphological dictionary MorfFlex. On the basis of considerable experience with real data annotation and the use of the morphological dictionary, particular changes were proposed. For both of the parts of speech a new set of subtypes was proposed, based mainly on the morphological criterion and its combination with semantic properties and other relevant features, such as definiteness in numerals and possessivity, reflexivity, and clitichood in pronouns. Each subtype has a specific value at the 2nd position of the morphological tag, which serves also as an indicator of the applicability of other tag categories.

The development of services and applications involving drones is promoting the growth of the unmanned-aerial-vehicle industry. Moreover, the supply of low-cost compact drones has greatly contributed to the popularization of drone flying. However, flying first-person-view (FPV) drones requires considerable experience because the remote pilot views a video transmitted from a camera mounted on the drone. In this paper, we propose a remote training system for FPV drone flying in mixed reality. Thereby, beginners who are inexperienced in FPV drone flight control can practice under the guidance of remote experts.

The application of accelerated testing theory is a difficult proposition, yet one that can result in considerable time and cost savings, as well as increasing a product's useful life. In Accelerated Testing: A Practitioner's Guide to Accelerated and Reliability Testing, readers are exposed to the latest, most practical knowledge available in this dynamic and important discipline. Authors Bryan Dodson and Harry Schwab draw on their considerable experience in the field to present comprehensive, insightful views in this book. Development and quality assurance tests are defined in detail and are presented from a practical viewpoint. Included are testing fundamentals, plans and models, and equipment and methods most commonly used in accelerated testing. Individuals seeking to evaluate and improve the design lives of components and systems will find this book a valuable reference, with special attention being paid to testing in the mobility industries.

This thesis examines how retailers approach innovation and strategic decision making. While there is vast prior research about innovation across different sectors, until recently, the perspective of retailers was under-represented in the literature. Where it does exist, the focus has typically been on product manufacturing or process improvements through technology or partnering with their vendor community, rather than an exploration of how retailers think about and develop innovation strategy internally. In some cases, prior research has identified what retail executives say about innovation. However, their words appear at times to be inconsistent with their actions, perhaps due to the wide spectrum of how each interprets the meaning of innovation. Thus, interviews were conducted with 14 experts who offer considerable experience and a broad perspective on the Canadian retail industry as consultants and partners. The purpose of this inductive, qualitative study was to identify what potential industry-specific and internal obstacles to innovation retailers may wish to consider in the future. Results have led to seven emergent themes classified as “legacy issues”, “daily business”, “risk avoidance”, leadership”, “sharing culture”, “unseen technology” and “customer focus”. The barriers or obstacles noted within each theme suggest several potential opportunities for retailers to encourage a more innovative mindset within their organization.

Director Zhang Hongxing is a famous traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) doctor in Shandong province and a teacher in the Famous TCM Expert Studio in Dezhou city. He has rich clinical experience and considerable experience in the treatment of common clinical chronic coughs. Director Zhang Hongxing believes that chronic cough belongs to the category of "wind cough" and "long-term cough" according to TCM. TCM diagnosis should start from the four aspects of "wind evil residing in lung", "liver", "spleen and stomach", and "yang deficiency". Starting from viewing the human body as an organic whole, distinguish between deficiency or excess in cold and heat, and clinical treatment for cough should focus on dispelling "wind", regulating the functions of liver, spleen, and stomach, and supplementing the body's yang. Formulate treatment based on different categorization, and modify prescription according to the symptoms, and the treatment effects are remarkable.

In August 1939, MO asked its volunteer Observers 'to begin keeping day-to-day personal diaries of everything that happened to them, the conversations they heard and took part in, their general routine of life, and the impact of the war on it’. More than 450 individual diarists wrote for MO during the war. Each diarist had to work out their own way of ‘observing’, and to create a comfortable authorial voice expressing their very varied personal concerns and experiences. Common themes included: outbreak of war; evacuation of children; the blackout; the call-up for compulsory service; and what was thought of as ‘morale’. The diaries show keen minds struggling hard to make sense of the unfolding war news, striving to understand the deeper currents of history and future possibilities in international affairs. Other themes concerned the home front: the wartime difficulties around food and transport; attitudes to class, and the arrival of American troops; and the hopes and fears for post-war reconstruction. This article reflects on its authors' considerable experience of selecting and preparing MO diaries for publication. Editors play a prominent role in the presentation of modern life history. This involves technical and/or literary judgments (about the length and quality of texts, the provision of supplementary material), in relation to the requirements of particular publishing formats (commercial or scholarly). It also involves ethical questions. MO diaries, once submitted, could not be revised; their authors were promised anonymity. Hence publication often requires the consent of the diarists (though few are still alive) or their heirs; and measures are sometimes required to protect the identities of people mentioned.

Echocardiography allows evaluating left ventricular (LV) myocardial contractility; however, the visual assessment of contractility is subjective and requires considerable experience. Modern technologies for assessment of LV myocardial contractility, such as tissue Doppler and speckle-tracking echocardiography, provide quantitative estimation of various parameters of myocardial strain, including the LV postsystolic shortening. Several studies have demonstrated the value of postsystolic shortening for evaluation of myocardial ischemia and “ischemic memory” in patients with cardiovascular diseases. This review analyzes experimental and clinical studies that addressed LV postsystolic shortening.

This paper examines the issues of ecological (green) construction in the framework of the concept of sustainable development - an inevitable global trend. The scale of ecological (green) construction is still limited throughout the world, including in Russia. Green building appeared in Russia much later than in Europe and the United States, where considerable experience has been accumulated in the implementation of such projects. It is necessary to better understand the obstacles to the implementation of green projects in order to find ways and means to overcome them. In this study, 19 obstacles to the implementation of green building projects in Russia were identified. The most important obstacles turned out to be: lack of necessary knowledge and information about green building among construction subjects, higher cost of green building compared to conventional, lack of interest and market demand for green building. The results of this study provide information that is valuable in the design and implementation of green building projects in the future.

AbstractIn this chapter, the authors reflect on a project they ran a few years ago that combined race equality with values-based practice training for the staff on a high-achieving mental health ward. One author (KWD, who is white) organised the project in her role as operational manager. She also ran the values-based practice part of the training drawing on her considerable experience in this area. The other author (EH, who is black) carried out an independent evaluation of the project drawing on her experience with both values-based practice and race equality in mental health. Notable is the extent of the differences between them in their pre-project expectations and in their initial understandings of the experiences of the participants. In resolving these differences, they come to a number of shared conclusions about how future projects of this kind might be run.
