Lines of curvatures (LoCs) are curves on a surface that are derived from the first and second fundamental forms, and have been used for shaping various types of surface. In this paper, we investigated the LoCs of two types of log aesthetic (LA) surfaces; i.e., LA surfaces of revolution and LA swept surfaces. These surfaces are generated with log aesthetic curves (LAC) which comprise various families of curves governed by . First, since it is impossible to derive the LoCs analytically, we have implemented the LoC computation numerically using the Central Processing Unit (CPU) and General Processing Unit (GPU). The results showed a significant speed up with the latter. Next, we investigated the curvature distributions of the derived LoCs using a Logarithmic Curvature Graph (LCG). In conclusion, the LoCs of LA surface of revolutions are indeed the duplicates of their original profile curves. However, the LoCs of LA swept surfaces are LACs of different shapes. The exception to this is when this type of surface possesses LoCs in the form of circle involutes.

Bài báo này trình bày thiết kế chi tiết và đánh giá chất lượng của module giao tiếp nối tiếp (Serial Interface Engine hay SIE) trong chuẩn USB 2.0 dựa trên công nghệ FPGA. Khối SIE có chức năng nhận dữ liệu được truyền từ bộ xử lý trung tâm (Central Processing Unit hay CPU) và chuyển dữ liệu đó đến Universal Transceiver Macrocell Interface (UTMI). Ở phía phát, dữ liệu được chuyển từ song song thành nối tiếp, sau đó đi qua khối mã hóa kiểm tra lỗi và bộ mã hóa kênh trước khi được phát qua kênh truyền. Ở phía thu, ngược lại, sau khi đi qua bộ giải mã hóa kênh và kiểm tra lỗi, dữ liệu nối tiếp sẽ được chuyển đổi thành dữ liệu song song. Thông qua các kết quả mô phỏng, chúng tôi chỉ ra rằng hoạt động của module SIE được thiết kế đáp ứng đầy đủ các yêu cầu kỹ thuật đề ra.

Central Processing Unit atau biasanya disebut dengan Processor adalah sebuah komponen berupa chip atau IC berbentuk persegi empat yang merupakan komponen utama pada sistem komputer sebagai alat untuk menjalankan proses kinerja komputer, dengan dipadu dengan komponen lainnya. Satuan kecepatan processor ialah Mhz (Mega Heartz) atau Ghz (1000 MegaHeartz). Semakin besar nilainya, semakin cepat proses eksekusi pada komputer.Dalam aplikasi perangkat keras komputer atau dengan istilah Hardware. Setiap komputer dibangun dengan kedalaman perangkat itu sendiri. Memiliki tingkat kecepatan yang unggul dari semua komponen komputer yang berbeda. Secara fisik, Komputer memiliki beberapa komponen yaitu sistem. Sistem adalah komponen-komponen yang saling bekerja sama membentuk suatu kesatuan. Underwater remotely operated vehicle mainly used to help human for underwater activities such as underwater exploration, underwater maintenance, and underwater search and rescue. Underwater remotely operated vehicle also used for education, entertainment, and competitions. In some case especially for an important or highly risk tasks, the ROV applied some functions to improve and optimize the use of the ROV for some missions. This paper presents a heading hold system which is applied in the ROV to maintain heading position or pose of the robot. Using a GY-271 compass sensor to read the data of ROV heading position, microcontroller Arduino mega 2560 as a central processing unit and PID controller as a feedback controller to maintain ROV on desired position by controlling thruster speed and direction. The experiments give a result of the control system using PID by 5% error for the ROV to maintain heading position in steady position.

<p>Teknologi pada zaman ini telah berkembang dengan pesat, khususnya teknologi Central Processing Unit. Karena itu, manusia dituntut untuk mempelajari cara kerja Central Processing Unit. Central Processing Unit itu sendiri memiliki banyak fungsi, salah satunya adalah melakukan pemrosesan, dimana terdapat antrian proses yang akan dieksekusi. Sayangnya, metode pembelajaran mengenai antrian Central Processing Unit masih kurang efektif karena hanya menggunakan Gantt Chart sebagai gambaran untuk cara kerjanya. Ini menyebabkan peneliti bermaksud untuk melakukan perancangan aplikasi simulator berbasis desktop untuk membantu para pelajar agar lebih mudah memahami dengan memberikan gambaran secara animasi mengenai cara kerja antrian proses yang terdapat pada Central Processing Unit, khususnya antrian dengan algoritma First-Come-First-Served dan nonpreemptive Shortest-Job-First. Pada perancangan aplikasi ini, peneliti menggunakan perangkat lunak Adobe Flash Professional CC 2015 dengan bahasa pemrograman ActionScript 3.0.<em> </em><em></em></p>
