Abstract The study presents the thermodynamic properties of the Iodine and Scandium Flouride molecules with molecular Deng-Fan potential. The bound state energy solution of the radial Schrodinger equation is obtained via the formula method. The partition function and other thermodynamic properties are evaluated via the Poisson summation approach. The numerical values of energy of the I2 and ScF molecules are found to be in agreement with results obtained from other methods in the literature. The results further show that the partition function decreases, and then converges to a constant value as temperature increases.

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) Guidelines for Determining Minimum Propulsion Power to Maintain the Maneuverability in Adverse Conditions is the sole regulation imposed on the routine design and approval of all new-built ships as a part of EEDI requirements. This study reviews the development of the guidelines and summarizes the recent amendments of MEPC76(2021). The present assessment is conducted for a new VLCC design following the new guidelines aiming at investigating the influence of alternative wave added resistance evaluation methods and the propeller design features on the assessment results. It is found that the most simple empirical formula method proposed by MEPC76 is not conservative enough, as could have been expected. On the other hand, spectral analysis methods based on empirically obtained and properly validated wave added resistance responses can produce consistent results. Moreover, discussions are made from the perspective of propeller design to meet the regulatory requirements. It is pointed out that the light running margin is a key design parameter, and propellers with larger light running margins are more advantageous for satisfying the minimum propulsion power regulation, thus ensuring the navigation safety in adverse conditions. These obtained insights and know-how can support the engineers in obtaining optimal design solutions.

Sanderling (Calidris alba) is a type of shorebird that migrates from the northern hemisphere to the southern hemisphere. Indonesia is a migration route for East Asia-Australasia. The southern coastal area of the Jember Regency, one of the wetlands, especially in East Java, has become an air route and a stopover for shorebirds every year. The research objective was to determine the population of Sanderling (Calidris alba) on the southern coast of Puger and Getem, Jember Regency. Method of collecting encounter rates. Bird watching is carried out in the morning at 06.00-08.00 and in the afternoon at 15.30-17.30. Data recording includes species, number of birds, and other supporting data. Identification using the book by Mac Kinnon et al. (2010) and Bhushan, B., et al. (1993). Tools used for binocular observation, monocular, camera, and GPS. Data analysis used the density index for individual bird species using the formula method (Alikodra, 1990). The results of the study were a total of 445 individuals. Data analysis of Muara Sungai population density was the location with the four other survey locations' highest number.

The aim of this study was to discover high school students’ general perception about the implementation of Google Classroom as an online learning media, and the factors that influenced the development of the perception. This research used Mixed-method research design as described by Creswell (2014). Subject of this study was the student population of SMAS Lab Undiksha Singaraja. The instruments used for this research were Questionnaire and Interview Guide. The instruments were tested by using Gregory Formula Method and Cronbach-Alpha method. The data that have been obtained was analyzed using quantitative and qualitative method. The result of the research showed that the students of SMAS Lab Undiksha Singaraja held a positive view on the benefits of Google Classroom and its implementation as online learning media. Factors that have influenced this perception are Google Classroom’s ubiquity, students’ familiarity with Google Classroom, Google Classroom’s ease of use and stability in comparison to other similar applications.

Abstract The approximate solutions of Schrodinger equation for the Hua plus modified Eckart (HPME) potential is obtained via the Formula method. The vibrational partition function and other thermodynamic properties were investigated. Using the Hellmann-Feynman theorem, the expectation values of r -2, T and p2 and their numerical values are also presented. Some cases of this potential are also studied. The results of our study are consistent with those in literature.

AbstractBy constructing a new calculating rule of Lie bracket, we construct a new nonlinear Schrödinger hierarchy and its reduction equations via using the $${\bar{\partial }}$$ ∂ ¯ -method. Furthermore, some soliton solutions of such the equation are obtained by making use of Dirac function.

Abstract Objectives Numerical treatment of singularly perturbed parabolic delay differential equation is considered. Solution of the equation exhibits a boundary layer, which makes it difficult for numerical computation. Accurate numerical scheme is proposed using $$\theta$$ θ -method in time discretization and non-standard finite difference method in space discretization. Result Stability and uniform convergence of the proposed scheme is investigated. The scheme is uniformly convergent with linear order of convergence before Richardson extrapolation and second order convergent after Richardson extrapolation. Numerical examples are considered to validate the theoretical findings.

AbstractProcess discovery helps companies automatically discover their existing business processes based on the vast, stored event log. The process discovery algorithms have been developed rapidly to discover several types of relations, i.e., choice relations, non-free choice relations with invisible tasks. Invisible tasks in non-free choice, introduced by $$\alpha ^{\$ }$$ α $ method, is a type of relationship that combines the non-free choice and the invisible task. $$\alpha ^{\$ }$$ α $ proposed rules of ordering relations of two activities for determining invisible tasks in non-free choice. The event log records sequences of activities, so the rules of $$\alpha ^{\$ }$$ α $ check the combination of invisible task within non-free choice. The checking processes are time-consuming and result in high computing times of $$\alpha ^{\$ }$$ α $ . This research proposes Graph-based Invisible Task (GIT) method to discover efficiently invisible tasks in non-free choice. GIT method develops sequences of business activities as graphs and determines rules to discover invisible tasks in non-free choice based on relationships of the graphs. The analysis of the graph relationships by rules of GIT is more efficient than the iterative process of checking combined activities by $$\alpha ^{\$ }$$ α $ . This research measures the time efficiency of storing the event log and discovering a process model to evaluate GIT algorithm. Graph database gains highest storing computing time of batch event logs; however, this database obtains low storing computing time of streaming event logs. Furthermore, based on an event log with 99 traces, GIT algorithm discovers a process model 42 times faster than α++ and 43 times faster than α$. GIT algorithm can also handle 981 traces, while α++ and α$ has maximum traces at 99 traces. Discovering a process model by GIT algorithm has less time complexity than that by $$\alpha ^{\$ }$$ α $ , wherein GIT obtains $$O(n^{3} )$$ O ( n 3 ) and $$\alpha ^{\$ }$$ α $ obtains $$O(n^{4} )$$ O ( n 4 ) . Those results of the evaluation show a significant improvement of GIT method in term of time efficiency.

Abstract The study presents the thermodynamic properties of the XI Σ+g state of potassium (K2) dimer with molecular Deng-Fan potential. The bound state energy solution of the radial Schrodinger equation is obtained via the formula method. The partition function and other thermodynamic properties are evaluated. The numerical values of energy are found to be in agreement with results obtained from other methods in literature. The results further show that the partition function increases as temperature decreases, which implies a decrease in the probability of finding a particle in a state with quantum number, n.
