Controlled thermonuclear fusion (CTF) is an almost unlimited source of energy and scientists have been studying it for several decades. This requires an efficient and stable compression of diyterium-tritium fuel to a very high density. This work addresses shockless one-dimensional (plane, cylindrical and spherical symmetry cases) “compression from rest to rest”, when gas from the initial resting state under the influence of an impenetrable piston is shocklessly transferred to a resting homogeneous state, but compressed by 10000 times. This compression is energetically most advantageous, because work is spent only on the compression, but not on the gas acceleration. Earlier [10] this problem was solved in the opposite direction of time change. In this case, a density jump occurs on the piston which was taken into account in calculations [3] at the final moment of compression. The numerical solution of this problem in the opposite direction of time variation allows calculating the trajectory of the compressing piston in the form of a set of points ( t,r ) at which the gas velocity and density are determined. In this paper, the problem of shockless “compression from rest to rest” is numerically solved in the forward direction of time change if the compressing piston trajectory is known. The compression piston moves along a monotonous trajectory away from the axis or center of symmetry. It is important, when calculating in forward direction of time change, no internal characteristics are initially entered. They, like all gas flow in the calculation area, are determined in the process of direct calculation. This indicates that the trajectory of compressing piston is the recommendation for appropriate physical experiments

Feeling fear is involuntary, as it is often unconscious. However, there are other faces of fear that we can recognize and that are familiar to us. We go from real fears to unreal fears, from present fears to projective fears that are reinforced and mutate into other more complex situations that further reinforce our fear. The more we reinforce these thoughts the stronger our fear becomes. So, what is feeding our fear? How do we react to fear? Is it the desire to dodge the blow, to strike back, to attack it? Fear is a very powerful mechanism that should only be activated in dangerous situations. If we use fear for educational purposes we will project very deep blockages in the new generations. However, when we recognize and accompany the thoughts and impulses generated by fear, they become silent. Once silenced, they are no longer activated unconsciously. Therefore, if we look at what is happening, consciously, "without judgement" it will facilitate our journey towards our true SELF. The EmocionaTFamilia program invites us to accompany our path "lightly and at the right time". Change is simple, the lesson is the opposite of what we have learned.

In this paper, a dynamic operational linear regulator (DOLR) based on a GaN high-electron-mobility transistor (HEMT) and wide-bandwidth operational amplifier was developed and implemented. The driving current could be regulated and controlled by the DOLR for 632 nm laser diodes. The constant-current mode for the continuous-wave laser and the pulse-width modulation (PWM) mode for the short-pulsed laser were realizable using this DOLR. This study focused on the rising-edge time change on the laser driving current when the DOLR was operated under the high-frequency PWM mode, because the parasitic components on the GaN HEMT, laser diodes, printed circuit board, and power wires could influence the current’s dynamic behavior. Therefore, the equivalent circuit models of the laser diode and GaN HEMT were applied to establish a DOLR simulation circuit in order to observe the rising-edge time change on the laser driving current. A DOLR prototype was achieved, and so experimental waveform measurements could be implemented to verify the DOLR simulation and operation.

In addition to scenes, there are three other medium-size units in cinema that are scene-like, composed of scenes, or composed of scene-like parts. The first of these is the montage—a series of related shots traditionally knit together with dissolves. The sequences is groups of related scenes. And the syntagma, a term borrowed and modified from semiotics, is composed of subscenes—scene-like subunits that have neither a real beginning nor an end. Syntagmas are alternations of subscenes with some consistent combination of location, character, and time change. The evidence for these three types of units—montages, sequences, and syntagmas—is empirical, based on judgments by viewers. In experiments, viewers segmented two dozen movies. They almost never segmented within a montage; to them, it was a whole, just like a scene. They almost always segmented the scenes within a sequence, but they segmented within syntagmas erratically and only half the time.

Abstract This paper highlights time concepts and the organisation and structure of time in the practice of renga, Japanese ‘linked poetry’. As renga is a genre of poetry created in groups, the study will not only focus on the poems themselves (the texts produced), but on the meetings that bring forth the texts (the performance), the manuscripts that are written there (the material) and the social environment in which the performances take place (the setting). By analysing the main features of each of these four areas and focusing on time, change and persistence, I aim to show how closely they are interconnected and also provide the reader with the knowledge necessary to appreciate the complexity of renga as an integral Gesamtkunstwerk. While my focus is on contemporary renga poetry here, I will also consider aspects of its history, which is a vital key to understanding this art.

AbstractWe derive precise transformation formulas for synthetic lower Ricci bounds under time change. More precisely, for local Dirichlet forms we study how the curvature-dimension condition in the sense of Bakry–Émery will transform under time change. Similarly, for metric measure spaces we study how the curvature-dimension condition in the sense of Lott–Sturm–Villani will transform under time change.
