Under the thermal action on wood when applying a protective screen made from fire-retardant fabric, the process of temperature transfer is natural. It has been proven that depending on the thermal properties of the coating of fire-proof fabric, this could lead to varying degrees of heat transfer. Therefore, it becomes necessary to study the conditions for establishing low thermal conductivity and establishing a mechanism that inhibits heat transfer to wood. Given this, a mathematical model has been built of the process of heat transfer to wood when it is protected by a screen made of fire-proof fabric. According to the experimental data on determining the temperature on the non-heated surface of the fabric and the resulting dependences, the density of the heat flow transmitted to wood through fire-proof fabric was determined. Thus, with an increase in the temperature, the density of the heat flow to the surface of the wood through a protective screen made of fire-proof protected coating based on "Firewall-Attic" increases to a value above 16 kW/m2, which is not sufficient for ignition of wood. Instead, the density of the heat flow through the protective screen of fire-proof fabric protected by the "Firewall-Wood"-based coating did not exceed 14 kW/m2. This makes it possible to argue about the compliance of the detected mechanism of formation of heat-insulating properties in the protection of wood and the practical attractiveness of the proposed technological solutions. Thus, the peculiarities of inhibition of the process of heat transfer to wood through a protective screen made of fire-proof fabric under the action of a radiation panel imply the formation of a heat-insulating layer of coked cellular material when decomposing the coating. Thus, on the surface of the fire-proof fabric, a temperature above 280 °C was achieved and, on an untreated surface of the fabric, it did not exceed 220 °C, which is insufficient for the ignition of wood.

The article is devoted to the design of a LED lighting device Laight Emitting Diode (LD) to replace the base LD with a gasdischarge light source for general lighting of industrial and other premises with high spans. The paper presents a description of the basic LD RSP 51 – 2000 and substantiates the need for its replacement. To create an LD with a high luminous efficiency, LEDs with a luminous efficacy of 142.2 lm/W at a rated current of 400 mA are used. When analyzing the results of ray tracing in the TracePro optical program for a flat and rounded protective screen of the LED LD, it was found that the most preferable is the use of a rounded protective screen made of Plexiglass. The results of modeling the LED LD showed that the designed LD is an energy efficient analogue of RSP 51 – 2000.

The possibility of using protective screens made of aramid organoplastics to ensure the bird resistance of carbon fiber wing flaps is investigated. Aramid organoplastics were selected for the production of a protective screen, taking into account the main requirements for the materials of external contour of the aircraft wing. The result of impact tests simulating the collision of a bird with carbon fiber flaps that are not protected and protected by organoplastics are presented. The optimal ratio of aramid organoplastics as part of the protective screen for carbon fiber wing flaps is presented.

In fluoroscopy guided interventional procedures, ceiling suspended screen is used to protect personel for scattered X-ray radiation arising from patents. The correct positioning of the screen is crucial for proper occupational radiation protection. The proposed solution in this paper provides reliable and efficient protection from scattered radiation, based on X-ray device and the protective screen merging into one system via an appropriate interface. After the initial manual positioning, automatic repositioning of the screen is ?xecuted, by curving the screen laterally, clockwise or counterclockwise, and then with the upper or lower edge forward. All potential clinical situations were analyzed, considering need for screen position correction: the semi-automatic solution is designed and realized to follow the medical procedure in order to keep the efficient level of staff radiation protection. Furthermore, the assessment of the occupational radiation dose, provided for screen position optimization, will be imported in the radiation dose structural report. With application of the universal interface, the presented solution can be applied not only on newly manufactured ones, but on existing C-arm X-ray devices as well.

Since the beginning of the quarantine, pharmacists, especially those who work in pharmacies, are at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19 coronavirus infection, and they do their best to provide quality pharmaceutical assistance. The aim of the study was to study the opinions of pharmacists on the organizational features of their work in pharmacies during quarantine associated with the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. The methods of survey, mathematical statistics, generalization and interpretation of the results are used. 499 pharmacists from 25 regions of Ukraine except for territories not controlled by the Government, were interviewed. The study was conducted from 7 to 19 April 2020. Pharmacists' anxious expectations and pessimistic sentiments elucidated through the COVID-19 coronavirus have been. It is shown that social distance in pharmacies is primarily aimed at limiting the number of people admitted to the pharmacy at the same time, then – to install a protective screen in the sales hall, as well as its planning. It has been found that pharmacists often have to deal with inappropriate visitor behavior. The increase of physical load of pharmacists, the main reason for which is the peculiarities of working with visitors during social distance, as well as finding a large part of them under constant psychological pressure, is revealed. The degree of concern of pharmacists through the Covid-19 coronavirus, the availability of various safety measures in pharmacies, the levels of aggressive behavior on the part of pharmacy visitors, exercise stress and being under constant psychological pressure from pharmacists have been established.
