In order to have more accurate analysis about the eruption period of gas eruption under a coal mine system, fractal geometry theory was introduced. Based on field test data, a novel R / S analysis method was used to calculate the Hurst parameter, which determined the persistence correlation of the gas system, and eruption period was calculated subsequently. The period was used by the coal mine factory to arrange the manufacturing process and for three years no accident about gas eruption under the coal mine was reported.

Reasonable allocation reactive power compensation devices in coal mine system can not only develop power factor, it can also solve bus voltage fluctuation problem of coal mine system. By analyzing load characteristic in coal mine system, non-linear impulse load and induction motor can cause bus voltage fluctuation. The characteristic of SVC is that its response speed is quick and it can be adjusted continuously. But the price of SVC is expensive. Reasonable allocation method is that a portion SVC is installed in the bus that are connected with a number of non-linear impulse load and induction motor, SVC is only used to undertake fluctuation load. It can solve voltage fluctuation problem well. Simulation and analysis on WSCC-9 bus system testifies the validation of the proposed method.

A virtual mine system involves masses of laneways and machinery with great number of model data, which restricts rendering speed seriously. In this paper, a rendering algorithm specially developed for virtual underground scenes is proposed. This algorithm considered each laneway as a visible area and applies the cuboid bounding boxes of laneways for the cameras inside-outside testing to determine the cameras position, consequently determined the visible regions and exclude invisible laneways as rendering. To decrease the calculations of inside-outside testing, octree was employed to reduce the detection scope. The experiment results indicated this algorithm was capable of substantially reducing rendering objects and had the obviously faster rendering speed than the conventional rendering acceleration algorithms.

With the development of computer, networking and automation technology, mining information technology becomes more intelligent and more integrated. This paper establishes a smart mine system in one mining enterprise of East China Mineral Exploration and Development Bureau. By adopting service-oriented architecture, smart mine system reuses the existing function modules and integrates the data through Web service to form a comprehensive service system to solve information island problems, which helps to facilitate production, operation and management of mining enterprises.
