Equine coital exanthema (ECE) is a highly contagious, venereally-transmitted mucocutaneous disease, characterized by the formation of papules, vesicles, pustules and ulcers on the external genital organs of mares and stallions, and caused by equid alphaherpesvirus 3 (EHV-3). The infection is endemic worldwide and the virus is transmitted mainly through direct contact during sexual intercourse and by contaminated instruments during reproductive maneuvers in breeding facilities. The disease does not result in systemic illness, infertility or abortion, yet it does have a negative impact on the equine industry as it forces the temporary withdrawal of affected animals with the consequent disruption of mating activities in breeding facilities. The purpose of this review is to provide up-to-date relevant information on the knowledge of EHV-3 infection and to analyze new approaches on diagnostics, treatment and prevention in the interest of minimizing the negative consequences of ECE in light of the current situation of the equine industry.

Genital auto-mutilation is a urological emergency rarely encountered in practice. It constitutes a drama by its manner of occurrence and clinical presentation. In case of heavy bleeding, a state of hemorrhagic shock may occur and require resuscitation. the treatment is based on surgery and psychiatric advice. a regular follow-up with an attentive intention is needed to avoid the recurrency. We are reporting a 29-year-old patient followed for schizophrenia with poor compliance who is attempting genital auto-mutilation for the second time. The first attempt resulted in shallow wounds, but the second attempt was dramatic: it resulted in genital amputation. Keywords: Penis, external genital organs, mutilation, amputation, schizophrenia

Introduction. Bladder cancer (ВС) is one of the most common malignant tumors of the urinary tract. In recent decades, recurrent BC in the urethra has become increasingly common. Given the rarity of this pathology, it is of clinical interest for oncologists and urologists. Materials and methods. A clinical case of recurrent bladder cancer in the urethra in a 63-year-old patient is presented. The results of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the pelvic organs and external genital organs, as well as the results of computed tomography of the abdominal organs and observation by a hematologist are presented. Results. For early diagnosis of tumor changes in the urethra in patients with risk factors for the recurrence of BC after cystectomy, careful observation in the form of a cytological study of flushing water from it, performing urethroscopy with ascending urethrography and MRI of the external genital organs is advisable. Conclusions. This clinical observation demonstrates the importance of assessing the state of the urethra when follow up patients after radical cystectomy for BC.

Introduction. Hypospadias is one of the most common malformations of the external genital organs in boys. The development of surgical technologies in recent decades has significantly improved the functional and cosmetic results of hypospadias treatment. Nevertheless, complications of urethroplasty are still the most discussed issue of this problem. To prevent fistulas and urethral dehiscence, it has been proposed to cover the suture line with a single or double layer of dartos fascia from a de-epithelized foreskin. For a similar purpose, it has been also suggested using the fibrin glue to seal the sutures of the formed urethra. The objective of this study was to prospectively evaluate the efficacy of Evicel fibrin glue in the surgical treatment of distal hypospadias in children. Materials and methods. The study included 27 children under the age of 2 years (between 11 and 23 months) with coronary hypospadias. All children underwent tubularized incised plate surgery. The first group of patients comprised 11 (40.7%) children whose urethra was covered with Evicel fibrin glue after tubularization. Covering of urethra with two sheets of de-epithelized foreskin was performed in the second group, in 16 (59.3%) children. Results. We have not revealed statistical differences in the occurrence of complications in the studied groups of patients. In the first group, a fistula of the urethra was noted in 1 (9.1%) child, in the second group, 2 (12.5%) complications were revealed. Conclusion. From our perspective, the absence of differences in the complications rares in the studied groups of patients. We may conclude that the use of Evicel glue is as effective as covering the neourethra with a de-epithelialized foreskin flap.

Regarding the frequency of cancerous lesions of the external genital organs, they are, as always, in similar cases, to a known degree they are ambiguous; But all the same, on the basis of the available data, one can go to the conclusion that both in relation to other gynecological diseases, and in relation to cancer in other organs in general and in the genital organs in particular, cancer of the external genital organs is significantly aggravated.

The main aim of this study is to contribute to the systematics relating to the family Buprestidae, by studying the male external genital organs (aedeagi) of six species belonging to the genera Acmaeodera, Acmaeoderella, Anthaxia, Capnodis, and Perotis, none of which had been illustrated previously. Samples of these species were collected from the province of Ankara, Turkey, and the aedeagus of each was described and illustrated in detail for the first time. The findings were then compared with the current literature.

The patient, whom I have chosen as the subject of our today's discussion, immediately stops attention on herself by her external appearance. You see a 1012 year old girl, not very tall, thin; Apparently, there are still no traces of the era of formation on her, and between the dark of our patient she is 20 years old and she has been married for quite a long time. Such a discrepancy between external appearance and age even more catches the eye with detailed examination, which showed that the mammary glands are completely childish, the external genital organs are poorly developed, not covered with vegetation, the sleeve is barely passable for the finger, the uterus is childish.
