The study contemplates the topic of fashion jewellery design in the period of forty years of existence of the nationalized Jablonec nad Nisou jewellery industry, specifically between 1948–1989. The text introduces important designers and the process of fashion jewellery design in the production companies in the field of jewellery. The authors discuss the political and economic influences on the process of creating new samples and subsequent production. They classify and document in detail the work, sources of inspiration as well as the achievements and awards of specialized jewellery designers. They were behind the creation of an inexhaustible number of new components and thousands of complete samples and final products for the serial production of jewellery made of glass, metal, plastics or wood. Despite many limitations, the creative and high-quality work of these designers at domestic and international presentations was afrequent pride of Czechoslovak industry and, especially in the field of foreign trade, brought considerable profits to Czechoslovakia.

This study contemplates the establishment, development and organization of the Sturmabteilung (SA) strike units in Liberec, the capital of the Sudetenland. Based on archival sources and periodicals, it provides a general overview of the people who decided to join the SA, what their training consisted of, and how wide was the range of activities typical for strike units. As political soldiers, members of the SA fully supported the NSDAP and participated in political events that were closely linked to National Socialism. However, their activities in collections, public works of all kinds or their own sports activities cannot be overlooked. In conclusion, the study deals with the deployment of SA members as the part of the Wehrmacht and in the rear, where they participated in the training of German men for war, until the formation of the militia, which included not only the last in the homeland SA-men, but also all their material.

The text deals with Jesuit missions to the north of Bohemia in the second half of the 17 th century with an emphasis on the missionary activities of the house of the third probation i n Telč. With regard to the process of re-Catholicization in the second half of the 17th century, Frýdlant (Friedland) and Liberec (Reichenberg) represented a specific region, as is evident from Jesuit sources about missions to the local region. Missions from Telč to northern Bohemia, which took place regularly in the second half of the 17th century, played a significant role in the process of re-Catholicization of the area. The Jesuits of Telč often headed to localities near the borders or in mountaino us areas, where non-Catholic religions persisted. It is probable some of the transitions to Catholicism were only of formal nature. Unlike in the past, however, the missionaries focused exclusively on non-repressive ways of converting to the faith to prevent further emigration. Their focus was on helping with the parish administration, confessions, and promoting Catholic customs. Missionary work also included acts of charity and caring for one’s neighbor.

The text contemplates the essential motives, which defined her image in the so-called second life. While the findings of the historical science about Zdislava of Lemberk is limited to the few sources that depict the character of this person only in fleeting outlines, fiction offers alarge number of alternative depictions of the saint, which correspond to the contemporary social situation and beliefs and expectations of individual authors. Through the analysis of the complete production dedicated to Zdislava of Lemberk, three motivic areas were established, which proved to be the most frequently represented in fiction and which also correspond to the attributes and areas of interest usually attributed to her. This is an area of family constellations, nationality and origins and expressions of exceptionality.
