IMPACTO DOS INVESTIMENTOS EM RECURSOS INTANGÍVEIS NO DESEMPENHO ORGANIZACIONAL

In this research, we explored the relationship between investments in intangible resources and the performance of publicly traded banks. We applied a quantitative approach, based on hand-collected public data from banks’ financial statements of investments on intangible resources, combined with a history of trading and accounting values, covering the period from 2008 to 2015. The results suggest that investments in intangible resources provide superior performance. The banking sector is not particularly sensitive to investments on Human Intangible Resources (HR) and Relation Intangible Resources (RR), but respond in an economically significant way to investments on Structural or Organizational Intangible Resources (SR).

FUSÕES E AQUISIÇÕES CROSS-BORDER: CARACTERÍSTICAS DE MERCADO E DESEMPENHO ECONÔMICO-FINANCEIRO

A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar o efeito que as características de mercado provocam no desempenho econômico-financeiro de empresas envolvidas em processos de fusões e aquisições do tipo cross-border. Para seu desenvolvimento adotou-se o modelo de regressão com dados em painel por efeitos fixos e aleatórios. Apesar de alguns trabalhos da literatura indicarem que o desenvolvimento de mercado impacta na criação de valor das empresas adquirentes, os resultados obtidos nesta pesquisa refutam a hipótese de que em mercados desenvolvidos, os processos de F&As cross-border estão positivamente associados ao desempenho obtido após concretização da fusão.

ANALYSIS OF THE TASK-TECHNOLOGY FIT MODEL APPLIED TO WHATSAPP AS A PREFERENCE OF YOUNG USERS OF MOBILE INSTANT MESSENGERS

The purpose of this article is to analyze the technology-task adjustment model applied to WhatsApp as a preferred communication method by young Mobile Instant Messengers (MIM) users. Thus, we conducted a survey (n=567) and a multivariate data analysis through Structural Equation Modeling. Only one hypothesis of the model was rejected showing that hedonic needs do not influence needs perceived by users. Users do not realize pleasure as a need when it comes to MIMs with communication-oriented features and is not exclusively for fun. We also found that the behavioral profile of young users to perceive the importance of motivational needs, technological characteristics, perceived needs, satisfaction, and privacy, to generate the intention to continue using the mobile communication tool.

ANÁLISE DE POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS: AVALIAÇÃO DA ESTRATÉGIA SAÚDE DA FAMÍLIA

Objetivo consiste em avaliar a ESF nos municípios mineiros através da análise de eficiência técnica. Como método, utilizou uma variação da Análise Envoltória de Dados, denominado de Modelo de Medidas Especiais, considerando o Índice Mineiro de Responsabilidade Social (IMRS) como variável de saída não-discricionária. Ainda, foi utilizado o método de Fronteira Invertida com o intuito de comparar a eficiência composta normalizada com o IMRS. Os resultados indicaram que os municípios situados em regiões mais pobres, tendem a ter menores desempenhos na ESF. Concluiu-se que o desempenho da ESF afeta outros setores, além de sofrer influência das condições econômicas locais e regionais.

APRENDIZAGEM INTERORGANIZACIONAL E MARKETING DE RELACIONAMENTO: UM ESTUDO EXPLORATÓRIO

Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar os processos de aprendizagem advindos dos relacionamentos interorganizacionais nas práticas do marketing de relacionamento entre fornecedores e clientes, através de um estudo qualitativo básico junto a empresas, com entrevistas em profundidade. Identificou-se a preponderância de processos informais de aprendizagem interorganizacional, a partir de experiências, trocas e mudanças de visões de mundo, tendo em vista as situações de aprendizagem, bem como o aprender a confiar, a se comprometer e a cooperar. Os processos formais de aprendizagem, por outro lado, contribuíram para o desenvolvimento de processos informais, e vice-versa.

SATISFAÇÃO NO TRABALHO: PERCEPÇÕES E EXPECTATIVAS COM OS FATORES MOTIVACIONAIS

The aim of this study was to identify the perceived motivational factors and expectations of different professionals in the public and private sectors, based on the theories of Herzberg and Vroom. The study used a quantitative and descriptive research survey, which showed that administration/marketing professionals had a significant perception regarding motivational factors (p = 0.001), being the most satisfied. Professionals working in the private sector were the most satisfied (p = 0.003). Therefore, the study showed how satisfaction is differentiated by career, education, employment bond, and gender.

INOVAÇÃO SOCIAL E SUSTENTABILIDADE EM AGROINDÚSTRIAS FAMILIARES

The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between the social innovation and the sustainability in the family agro-industries allocated to the Local Productive Arrangement of Agroindústria Familiar e Diversidade do Médio Alto Utuguai e Rio da Várzea located in Rio Grande do Sul – Brazil. The method of this paper is quantitative based on data collected in a questionnaire applied to the owners of agro-industries. The relationship between the dimensions of social innovation and sustainability provides positive results in economic, social and environmental aspects, identifying priority for the economic bias of sustainability in the analyzed sample.

CAPACIDADES DINÂMICAS E CAPACIDADE DE INOVAÇÃO EM SERVIÇOS DE SAÚDE

The work aims at understanding the capacity of innovation in health services in light of the microfoundations of dynamic capabilities. The study adopted the framework by Teece (2007), which presents three dynamic capabilities: (a) the ability to identify the environment context (sensing); (b) the ability to seize opportunities (seizing); and (c) the ability to manage threats and transformations (reconfiguring). For this research, a qualitative case study with exploratory and descriptive characteristics was carried out in a private hospital located in the city of Porto Alegre, Brazil. The main results show that the understanding routines and processes through microfuses facilitates the visualisation and understanding of the dynamic sensing, seizing and reconfiguring capabilities.

INOVAÇÃO SOCIAL APLICADA À ÁREA DE GESTÃO: UMA ANÁLISE CONCEITUAL

O objetivo deste estudo é analisar as abordagens de inovação social aplicadas aos estudos da área de gestão. Em termos metodológicos, foram analisados 151 artigos publicados nos últimos vinte anos na área de gestão, selecionados na Web of Science. A análise qualitativa foi ancorada com o software Iramuteq. Os resultados indicam três categorias: a) Inovação Social Corporativa, que estende a lente da inovação social para além das empresas sociais; b) Constructos da Inovação Social, que apresenta o foco conceitual à luz dos autores investigados; c) Estudos da Inovação Social, que explica como as metodologias de investigação têm sido aplicadas.
