In this article is presented a short classification for walking robots that are based on leg locomotion and the main objectives that walking robots designers must achieve. The leg configuration of the walking robot is essential for obtaining a stable motion. Computer aided design process offers certain advantages for designers who attend to realize competitive products with fewer errors and in a short term. The aim of this article is to present the graphical results of the kinematic analysis of a new type of walking mechanism designed by Dutch physicist and sculptor Theo Jansen using Pro Engineer program and SAM, in order to compare the results.

The tooling and fixture play important roles in manufacturing and production. It affects both product quality and quantity. Better tooling and fixture can also promote cost-effective manufacturing process. This paper introduces a new type of universal clamping mechanism based on computer-aided 3D modeling, engineering structural analysis, and prototype testing. It can be applied to easily and reliably clamp different geometrical shape of work pieces per user requirements. This new clamping mechanism, with less moving components, can assist manufacturing industry for high speed production, easy part handling, precise clamping, and lower tooling cost. Keywords: Computer-aided design, automated production, 3D modeling, cost-effective, high speed manufacturing, engineering analysis, optimization, efficient;

The Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing are the modern innovative technology in garments manufacturing like all other manufacturing sectors. Garments CAD is specially used for pattern designing and marker making. On the other hand CAM is used for fabric cutting and other manufacturing sections. Before implementing those new technologies, manual system was widely used in garments sector. In recent time some large garments factories of Bangladesh are starting to adopt CAD and CAM technology. Beside that a huge number of medium and small size factories are using manual system yet. This paper presents a feasibility study of CAD and CAM technology in above mentioned different size factories in Bangladesh. The Study is carried out in respect of production procedure, required man power, production/hr, product quality, production efficiency, and production cost. The practical investigation and data shows the scenario that all types of garments industries are not capable to use CAD & CAM and also not even profitable for them.

A feasibility study on a new type of liquid scintillator based on water has been performed. Mainly due to the differences in polarities between water and oil, organic solvents are not mixed in water. In order to make a liquid scintillator based on water, a surfactant that contains hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups is used. The surfactant keeps water and organic solvents apart in solution. Good physical and optical parameters and long-term stability are required to use liquid scintillator based on water in massive detector for the next generation neutrino experiments. In this paper, we report the characteristics and the possibility of liquid scintillators using water with various new surfactants.
