Electric is one of the important resources of daily life, has great significance for the development of the national economy and the improvement of living standards. With the rapid development of construction in China, building electrical engineering is becoming more and more prominent, especially the lightning protection engineering in building electrical. Compared with the traditional housing construction, modern building construction gradually tends to be high development of reinforced concrete structure, more prone to lightning disaster, modern buildings have power lines and electrical equipment perplexing, once the lightning disaster, will cause huge economic losses, but also may cause casualties, therefore, lightning protection, pay attention to building electrical engineering is necessary. This paper introduces the lightning harm and building lightning protection system, analysis of the lightning protection design problem in building electrical engineering, discusses the matters needing attention in construction technology of electrical protection.

The mechanical and electrical installation is a broad concept, involving a wide range, subjects span, although its inherent characteristics, but its versatility is also very strong. Only by grasping the electrical and mechanical installation of construction technology and quality management, in order to increase enterprise efficiency, and improve the competitiveness of enterprises. This paper analyzes the characteristics of the mechanical and electrical installation projects, pointing out that the idea of the mechanical and electrical installation project management, summed up the connotation of the mechanical and electrical installation project management, and has some theoretical guiding significance for the further improve the management of mechanical and electrical installation projects. Electrical and mechanical installation is an important part of the construction work, covering the various types of equipment in industrial, residential, public works, the installation of electrical, water supply and drainage, heating, ventilation, fire, communications and automation control systems. Mechanical and electrical installation works activities covering equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, trial operation, the various stages of completion and acceptance, and ultimately use of the building function is to meet the goal.

with the rapid development of economy, people's demand for electric power is increasing, and the number of electrical equipment is gradually increasing, and the technical requirements are also gradually increasing, which also brings challenges to transmission lines. Strengthen the construction technology and management specification of transmission line, formulate construction scheme and measures according to different terrain, terrain and specific situation, and operate efficiently and strengthen management.

On Job Training (OJT) is best for skill development and attitude change. Implementation of OJT which focuses on the transition of students to working life, however with little attention given to the process of assessment in OJT. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the OJT assessment problems among Construction Technology students in Malaysian Vocational College. The research design for this study uses a survey that was carried out qualitatively through semi-structured interviews among Construction Technology students, lecturers and experienced construction practitioners. From the data analysis, it has been identified that there is an inadequacy of OJT assessment rubric in assessing the skill and knowledge of the construction technology students. This has been contributed with the used of holistic rubric for the OJT assessment which has been designed to be use by every course in the Vocational College. The result also revealed that allocation of marks in the assessment rubric is not commensurate with some construct assessed and need to be reviewed. This study shows that an assessment rubric should emphasizes on specific knowledge and skills in assessing students’ competency during training program and in this case to produce competent site supervisor. In addition, a good assessment rubric should consider the tasks and marks thoroughly to avoid biasness among students. Therefore, it is suggested to carry out further study in investigating the validity and reliability of current industry’ OJT assessment rubric for the Construction Technology students.Key Words: On Job Training; Construction Technology; An assessment rubric; Competency; Validity and reliability.
