In the past few decades, there has been lot of focus on the issue of sustainability. This has occurred due to the growing concerns related to climate change and the growing awareness about environmental concerns. Also, the competition at global level has led to the search for the most sustainable route in the industries. The current research work deals with the selection of green supplier in a Nickle coating industry based on certain weighted green attributes. For this purpose, a hybrid tool comprising of Fuzzy AHP (Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy) and VIKOR (VlseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje) is used. The Fuzzy AHP is used for assigning proper weights to the selected criteria for supplier evaluation, while VIKOR is used for final supplier selection based on the weighted criteria. The three criterions for green supplier selection are, Ecological packaging, Corporate socio-environmental responsibility and Staff Training. The outcome of the integrated model may serve as a steppingstone to other SMEs in different sectors for selecting the most suitable supplier for addressing the sustainability issue.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the practice of selecting green suppliers conducted by companies to be environmentally friendly and how these practices have implications for purchasing green products in 5-star hotels in Bali. Research methods: This study is guided by the green supply chain management model and the green selection model. A descriptive research design is used. Data were collected using a questionnaire. The population consists of 63 employees from companies that supply room supplies, food & beverage, chemical, and Spa. Data were analyzed using SPSS and presented using tables, graphs, frequencies, and percentages. Results and discussions: The study revealed that the selection of environmentally friendly suppliers had a positive and significant effect on the implementation of environmentally friendly purchases. The implications of selecting green suppliers create new market opportunities. Hotel cooperation with suppliers is getting closer and mutually committed to operational purchasing activities. Conclusion: The study revealed that the selection of environmentally friendly suppliers had a positive and significant effect on the implementation of environmentally friendly purchases. The indication was that green supplier selection is a major factor that influences the implementation of green purchasing at 5 stars hotel in Bali.

Supplier selection is one of the most important multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems for decision-makers in the competitive market. Today’s organizations are seeking new ways to reduce the negative effects they have on the environment and to achieve a greener system. Currently, the concept of green supplier selection has gained great importance for its ability to incorporate environmental or green criteria into classical supplier selection practices. Therefore, in this study, a multi-phase MCDM model based on the best-worst method (BWM) and the interval type-2 fuzzy technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (IT2F TOPSIS) is proposed. A case study in a plastic injection molding facility in Turkey was carried out to show the applicability of the proposed integrated methodology. The paper offers insights into decision-making, methodology, and managerial implications. Results of the case study are examined and suggestions for future research are provided.

Legal and public pressures have urged companies and firms to practice good environmental policy. Apart from that, growing environmental consciousness among consumers has also evolved into a potential marketing opportunity that many companies deem valuable. In order to effectively manage a companys environmental policy, linking it closely to purchasing activities can potentially be a helpful way. In this paper, fuzzy axiomatic design (AD) approach is used to address the issue of green supplier selection. A case study is presented to demonstrate the utilization of fuzzy AD principles in analyzing qualitative environmental performances of suppliers with the consideration of all sub-criteria. The proposed approach is able to produce indicative results in terms of information content and is capable of identifying the most eligible supplier among three alternatives. This signifies that the application of fuzzy AD approach in the area of green supplier selection is feasible and is worth further exploration.
