The global pandemic raised several social and economic challenges worldwide. Executing lockdown and closure of educational institutions became only options to mitigate these challenges, leading to educational barriers for billions of students worldwide. In such a situation, the acceptance, adoption and integration of ICT informally supported the learning process. However, policymakers, instructors and critics anticipated adverse consequences due to a fast shift from conventional to eLearning system. In this regard, the current research scrutinized the intervening role of gender in eLearning acceptance during Covid-19 outbreak. Additionally, this study also examines the impact of eLearning acceptance on students’ academic performance under Media System Dependency Theory. Data was gathered from n= 300 participants currently enrolled in n= 3 public sector universities in Islamabad, Pakistan. Results from quantitative data analysis indicated moderately significant gender differences concerning eLearning acceptance during the Covid-19. Similarly, findings also revealed a significant positive correlation between female students and conventional learning, male students and eLearning acceptance. Here the inferential statistics also highlighted the positive impacts of eLearning on students’ academic performance during Covid-19. The study concludes that gender is moderately hindering eLearning acceptance during the Covid-19 pandemic. Even though eLearning positively influences educational performance, stakeholders need to reconsider the current policies and ensure web-based as equally acceptable for all.

PurposeThe purpose of this study is to examine the dimensionality of relational benefits in public bike sharing (PBS) and explore the mediating role of user satisfaction and engagement on the linkage between relational benefits and continuance intention.Design/methodology/approachThis study used a mixed method approach. Data were collected using convenience sampling technique from 411 users of PBS in Bhubaneswar, India. In the first part of the study, in-depth interviews were conducted to identify a set of relational benefits for scale development. In the second part, CB-SEM was used to establish the reliability and validity of the scale and test the hypotheses linking relational benefits with user satisfaction, engagement and continuance intention.FindingsThe analysis suggests that relational benefit is a second order construct having five distinct yet related dimensions namely economic, convenience, environmental, identity related and health and safety benefits. Also, the impact of relational benefits on continuance intention is positively and significantly mediated through user satisfaction and engagement.Research limitations/implicationsThis study is conducted in only one Indian city and is limited to PBS, which, is one of the elements of green transportation and does not cover other modes of transportation. Therefore, generalization of findings beyond this region and the mode of transportation should be done with caution.Originality/valueThis study contributes to the extant management literature by examining the mediating role of user satisfaction and engagement on the linkage between relational benefits and continuance intention which is an unexplored area of research. The study adds to existing knowledge by exploring the dimensionality of relational benefits in PBS context.

Organizations in the current environment need to create and sustain their competitive advantages. ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solutions are considered a strong tool that helps organizations to succeed and arise. But ERP projects’ implementation has relatively low success rates in which it may affect and shake the whole organizational performance. This study searches the power of software usability to achieve ERP Project Implementation Success (ERP-PIS) considering the mediating role of user information satisfaction (UIS). A set of research's hypotheses have been constructed. This study adapts a positivism view, using the survey strategy. The questionnaires were filled by 106 managers who use ERP systems or affected by ERP systems in different organizations. The findings of the research ensure the fitness of the model, and that mediation role of user information satisfaction (UIS) in Jordan is highly visible. Also, the research shows up the strong power of usability to achieve ERP-PIS. Based on the findings, development of ERP applications would be improved by software organizations in terms of usability, and organizations need to acquire ERP applications would also improve their decisions in choosing an ERP solution.

Purpose One major challenge for urban planners and policymakers is how to strengthen and establish connections between humans and the environment. Evidence suggests that the physical characteristics of the environment enhance both place identity and user satisfaction. This study aims to investigate the mediating role of place identity in the relationship between place quality and user satisfaction in two waterfronts in Penang, Malaysia. However, only few studies have examined the impact of place quality on user satisfaction in waterfronts as natural outdoor recreation spaces. Design/methodology/approach A sample of 300 users was analysed via structural equation modelling, and results show that place quality is a second-order construct with three main dimensions. Findings These results support the theoretical findings in the literature that associate high place quality and place identity with user satisfaction. These results also support the mediating role of place identity in the relationship between place quality and satisfaction and can help policymakers create inclusive and attractive waterfronts that catalyse place identity and user satisfaction. Originality/value Place quality is an essential need for urban life with significant and extensive effects on the lives of residents nowadays. Organising physical activities can help attract more users to waterfronts and consequently increase their level of satisfaction. Local authorities, non-governmental organisations and local communities should also help in monitoring and maintaining the waterfronts.

The purpose linked with the existing study is to examine the impact of strategic leadership on the competitive advantage of the Islamic banks in Jordan. The mediating analysis of organizational ambidexterity and information system among the links of strategic leadership on the competitive advantage of the Islamic banks in Jordan also included in the aim of the ongoing study. This study has executed the quantitative techniques of data collection through which data has been gathered from the employees of the Islamic banks by using questionnaires. The analysis part of the existing study has been accomplished by using the AMOS. The results indicated that the positive nexus has been found among the links of strategic leadership and competitive advantage while the findings also exposed that the ambidexterity positive mediates among the links of strategic leadership and competitive advantage of the Islamic banks in Jordan. These findings provided the guidelines to the regulators while formulating regulation for competitive advantage along with leadership and also helpful for the future studies who aim to investigate this area in the future.

Background: The willingness to pay is criteria criterion for measuring the patients' interest to continue their relationship with health centers. The main purpose of this study was to determine the effect of service quality and informing system of hospitals on the patient's willingness to pay with mediating role of patient satisfaction. Methods: This is an applied survey. The statistical population of this study consisted of all patients referring to Imam Khomeini Hospital in Sarab City during the first six months of 2019. Random sampling method was applied and 390 questionnaires were distributed among the patients. Data gathering tools included researcher made questionnaire with confirmed validity and reliability. Experts’ opinion and confirmatory factor analysis were used to confirm the validity. Cronbach's alpha method and combined reliability coefficient were used for reliability. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) test by partial least squares method. To analyze the data, SPSS 20 and Smart PLS 3 software were used. Results: Among the distributed questionnaires, 300 ones were completed and returned. According to the descriptive statistics, mean score of service quality, hospital information system, patient satisfaction, and willingness to pay were 2.98, 2.81, 3.44, and 2.67, respectively. The results obtained from the inferential analysis showed that the quality of services had a significant effect on patients’ satisfaction and willingness to pay. Moreover, the information system had a significant effect on patients’ satisfaction and patients' satisfaction had a significant effect on the willingness to pay. The impact of the information system on the willingness to pay was not confirmed. Conclusion:  Based on the findings, changes in the quality of hospital informing system and service quality with the mediating role of patients’ satisfaction affected their willingness to pay.

The goal of the ongoing research is to examine the impact of dynamic capabilities such as exploitation capability, exploration capability and information system on the organizational effectiveness of cellular communication firms in Jordan. The examination of the mediating role of organizational ambidexterity among the nexus of dynamic capabilities such as exploitation capability and exploration capability and organizational effectiveness is also included in the goals of the ongoing research. The quantitative method of data gathering has been utilized by the researchers to collect the data from the employees of the cellular communication firms currently operating in Jordan while AMOS has been used for the purpose of analysis. The results exposed that the positive nexus has been found among the nexus of dynamic capabilities, organizational ambidexterity, and organizational effectiveness. The results also revealed that the organizational ambidexterity has positive mediating among the links of dynamic capabilities such as exploitation capability and exploration capability on organizational effectiveness. These findings are suitable for the regulation developing authorities that they should develop and implement the effective regulation related to the dynamic capabilities and organizational ambidexterity that enhance the organizational effectiveness of the firm.
