Formation and elimination mechanism of thermal blistering in Al2O3/Si system

To evaluate the role of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) in exercise-related cardiovascular and hormonal adjustments in hypobaric conditions, 14 young athletes performed a maximal ergometer test in a hypobaric chamber adjusted to simulate the altitudes of sea level and 3,000 m. Plasma immunoreactive ANP levels rose from 5.89 to 35.1 pmol/l at sea level and rose significantly less (P less than 0.05), from 5.36 to 22.3 pmol/l, at simulated 3,000 m. Plasma immunoreactive amino-terminal peptide of proANP (NT-proANP) levels increased to the same extent at sea level and at simulated 3,000 m (from 240 to 481 pmol/l and from 257 to 539 pmol/l, respectively). Plasma immunoreactive aldosterone increased significantly less at simulated 3,000 m (P less than 0.05), but the changes in plasma renin were similar in both conditions. Plasma immunoreactive endothelin-1 and serum erythropoietin levels remained unchanged. In conclusion, we found a blunted ANP response to maximal exercise of ANP in acute hypobaric exposure compared with that in normobaric conditions, but no significant difference in the NT-proANP responses between the two conditions. The divergence may be due to stimulation of the elimination mechanism of ANP.

In order to manage the vast information available on web, crawler plays a significant role. The working of crawler should be optimized to get maximum and unique information from the World Wide Web. In this paper, architecture of migrating crawler is proposed which is based on URL ordering, URL scheduling and document redundancy elimination mechanism. The proposed ordering technique is based on URL structure, which plays a crucial role in utilizing the web efficiently. Scheduling ensures that URLs should go to optimum agent for downloading. To ensure this, characteristics of both agents and URLs are taken into consideration for scheduling. Duplicate documents are also removed to make the database unique. To reduce matching time, document matching is made on the basis of their Meta information only. The agents of proposed migrating crawler work more efficiently than traditional single crawler by providing ordering and scheduling of URLs.

Alginate is one of the most abundant polysaccharides in algae. Alginate lyase degrades alginate through a β-elimination mechanism to produce alginate oligosaccharides with special bioactivities. Improving enzyme activity and thermal stability can promote the application of alginate lyase in the industrial preparation of alginate oligosaccharides. In this study, the recombinant alginate lyase cAlyM and its thermostable mutant 102C300C were expressed and characterized in Pichia pastoris. The specific activities of cAlyM and 102C300C were 277.1 U/mg and 249.6 U/mg, respectively. Both enzymes showed maximal activity at 50 °C and pH 8.0 and polyG preference. The half-life values of 102C300C at 45 °C and 50 °C were 2.6 times and 11.7 times the values of cAlyM, respectively. The degradation products of 102C300C with a lower degree of polymerization contained more guluronate. The oligosaccharides with a polymerization degree of 2–4 were the final hydrolytic products. Therefore, 102C300C is potentially valuable in the production of alginate oligosaccharides with specific M/G ratio and molecular weights.
