Here, we report the complete genome sequence of Caloramator sp. strain E03, an anaerobic thermophile that was isolated from a hot spring within the Rabbit Creek area of Yellowstone National Park. The assembly contains a single 2,984,770-bp contig with a G+C content of 31.3% and is predicted to encode 2,678 proteins.

The genus Elioraea has only one species characterized microbiologically and two genomes sequenced. We have sequenced the genome of a unique Elioraea strain isolated from Yellowstone National Park and found it to be a distinct new species. Elioraea is suggested to be a member of the aerobic anoxygenic photosynthetic bacteria.

Rubrobacter xylanophilus strain AA3-22, belonging to the phylum Actinobacteria, was isolated from nonvolcanic Arima Onsen (hot spring) in Japan. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of this organism, which was obtained by combining Oxford Nanopore long-read and Illumina short-read sequencing data.

Metagenomics of an enrichment culture from a New Mexico hot spring allowed the description of a draft genome of a Chloracidobacterium thermophilum strain for the first time outside Yellowstone National Park with a surprisingly high degree of identity with the type strain.

The industrially important thermophile Geobacillus thermoglucosidasius has the potential to produce chemicals and fuels from biomass-derived sugar feedstocks. Here, we present the genome sequence of strain NCIMB 11955, the progenitor of an ethanologenic industrial strain, revealing 11 single-nucleotide polymorphisms and 2 indels compared to strain DSM 2542 and two novel plasmids.

Here, we describe the complete genome sequence of Caldicellulosiruptor changbaiensis, isolated from a hot spring in the Changbai Mountain Range of China. Currently, only one other genome sequence representing a Caldicellulosiruptor species from China is available.
