AbstractComplex fuzzy (CF) sets (CFSs) have a significant role in modelling the problems involving two-dimensional information. Recently, the extensions of CFSs have gained the attention of researchers studying decision-making methods. The complex T-spherical fuzzy set (CTSFS) is an extension of the CFSs introduced in the last times. In this paper, we introduce the Dombi operations on CTSFSs. Based on Dombi operators, we define some aggregation operators, including complex T-spherical Dombi fuzzy weighted arithmetic averaging (CTSDFWAA) operator, complex T-spherical Dombi fuzzy weighted geometric averaging (CTSDFWGA) operator, complex T-spherical Dombi fuzzy ordered weighted arithmetic averaging (CTSDFOWAA) operator, complex T-spherical Dombi fuzzy ordered weighted geometric averaging (CTSDFOWGA) operator, and we obtain some of their properties. In addition, we develop a multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) method under the CTSF environment and present an algorithm for the proposed method. To show the process of the proposed method, we present an example related to diagnosing the COVID-19. Besides this, we present a sensitivity analysis to reveal the advantages and restrictions of our method.

Abstract Fermatean fuzzy set idea obtained by combining fermatean fuzzy sets and hesitant fuzzy sets can be used in practice to simplify the solution of complicated multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems. Initially, the notion of fermatean hesitant fuzzy set is given and the operations related to this concept are presented. Aggregation operators according to fermatean hesitant fuzzy sets are given and basic properties of these operators are studied. To choose the best alternative in practice, a novel MCDM method that is obtained with operators has been created. Finally, an example of infectious diseases was examined to indicate the effectiveness of the suggested techniques.

Complex q-rung orthopair fuzzy set (CQROFS) is a proficient technique to describe awkward and complicated information by the truth and falsity grades with a condition that the sum of the q-powers of the real part and imaginary part is in unit interval. Further, Schweizer–Sklar (SS) operations are more flexible to aggregate the information, and the Muirhead mean (MM) operator can examine the interrelationships among the attributes, and it is more proficient and more generalized than many aggregation operators to cope with awkward and inconsistence information in realistic decision issues. The objectives of this manuscript are to explore the SS operators based on CQROFS and to study their score function, accuracy function, and their relationships. Further, based on these operators, some MM operators based on PFS, called complex q-rung orthopair fuzzy MM (CQROFMM) operator, complex q-rung orthopair fuzzy weighted MM (CQROFWMM) operator, and their special cases are presented. Additionally, the multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) approach is developed by using the explored operators based on CQROFS. Finally, the advantages and comparative analysis are also discussed.

The aggregation operator is one of the most common techniques to solve multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems. The aim of this paper is to propose an MCDM method based on the improved single-valued neutrosophic weighted geometric (ISVNWG) operator. First, the defects of several existing single-valued neutrosophic weighted geometric aggregation operators in terms of producing uncertain results in some special cases are analyzed. Second, an ISVNWG operator is proposed to avoid the defects of existing operators. Further, the properties of the proposed ISVNWG operator, including idempotency, boundedness, monotonicity, and commutativity, are discussed. Finally, a single-valued neutrosophic MCDM method based on the developed ISVNWG operator is proposed to overcome the defects of existing MCDM methods based on existing operators. Application examples demonstrate that our proposed operator and corresponding MCDM method are effective and rational for avoiding uncertain results in some special cases.

Background: A fuzzy cubic set (FCS) is composed of a fuzzy set (FS) (certain fuzzy numbers) and an intervalvalued fuzzy set (IVFS) (uncertain fuzzy numbers) to describe the hybrid information of both. To enhance the credibility of both, they should be closely related to the measures/degrees of credibility owing to the vagueness and uncertainty of humans’ cognitions regarding the real world. Objective: This paper presents the notions of a fuzzy cubic credibility set (FCCS) and a fuzzy cubic credibility number (FCCN) as the new generalization of the FCS notion so as to enhance the credibility level of FCS by means of the credibility degrees of both FS and IVFS. Next, we define operations of FCCNs, an expected value of FCCN, and the FCCN weighted arithmetic averaging (FCCNWAA) and FCCN weighted geometric averaging (FCCNWGA) operators for decision making (DM) strategy. Method: A decision making (DM) strategy using the FCCNWAA or FCCNWGA operator is proposed to solve multicriteria DM problems in the environment of FCCNs. Then, the proposed DM strategy is applied to a DM example of slope design schemes for an open pit mine in the environment of FCCNs to reflect the feasibility of the proposed DM strategy. Result: By comparison with the fuzzy cubic DM strategy, the DM results with and without the degrees of credibility can impact on the ranking of alternatives in the DM example to reflect the effectiveness of the proposed DM strategy. Result: By comparison with the fuzzy cubic DM strategy, the DM results with and without the degrees of credibility can impact on the ranking of alternatives in the DM example to reflect the effectiveness of the proposed DM strategy. Conclusion: However, the highlighting advantage of this study is that the proposed DM strategy not only indicates the degrees of credibility regarding the assessed values of FCNs in the DM process but also enhances the DM reliability in the environment of FCCNs. Hence, the proposed DM strategy is superior to the fuzzy cubic DM strategy in the environment of FCCNs.

Complex Pythagorean fuzzy (CPF), a worthwhile generalization of Pythagorean fuzzy set, is a powerful tool to deal with two-dimensional or periodic information. In this paper, we develop two prioritized aggregation operators (AOs) under CPF environment, namely, complex Pythagorean fuzzy prioritized weighted averaging (CPFPWA) operator and complex Pythagorean fuzzy prioritized weighted geometric (CPFPWG) operator. We consider the prioritization relationship among criteria and decision makers (DMs) to make our result more accurate as in real decision making (DM) problems, the criteria and DMs have different priority level. Further, we discuss remarkable properties of our proposed AOs. Moreover, we promote the evolution of MCDM problem by investigating an algorithm in CPF environment with its flow chart. Finally, to check the superiority and validity of proposed operators, we compare the computed results with the different existing techniques.

This paper deals with uncertainty, asymmetric information, and risk modelling in a complex power system. The uncertainty is managed by using probability and decision theory methods. Multiple-criteria decision making (MCDM) is a very effective and well-known tool to investigate fuzzy information more effectively. However, the selection of houses cannot be done by utilizing symmetry information, because enterprises do not have complete information, so asymmetric information should be used when selecting enterprises. In this paper, the notion of soft set (SftS) and interval-valued T-spherical fuzzy set (IVT-SFS) are combined to produce a new and more effective notion called interval-valued T-spherical fuzzy soft set (IVT-SFSftS). It is a more general concept and provides more space and options to decision makers (DMs) for making their decision in the field of fuzzy set theory. Moreover, some average aggregation operators like interval-valued T-spherical fuzzy soft weighted average (IVT-SFSftWA) operator, interval-valued T-spherical fuzzy soft ordered weighted average (IVT-SFSftOWA) operator, and interval-valued T-spherical fuzzy soft hybrid average (IVT-SFSftHA) operators are explored. Furthermore, the properties of these operators are discussed in detail. An algorithm is developed and an application example is proposed to show the validity of the present work. This manuscript shows how to make a decision when there is asymmetric information about an enterprise. Further, in comparative analysis, the established work is compared with another existing method to show the advantages of the present work.

Molodtsov originated soft set theory that was provided a general mathematical framework for handling with uncertainties in which we meet the data by affix parameterized factor during the information analysis as differentiated to fuzzy as well as neutrosophic set theory. The main object of this paper is to lay a foundation for providing a new approach of single-valued neutrosophic soft tool which is considering many problems that contain uncertainties. In present study, a new aggregation operators of single-valued neutrosophic soft numbers have so far not yet been applied for ranking of the alternatives in decision-making problems. To this propose work, single-valued neutrosophic soft weighted arithmetic averaging (SVNSWA) operator, single-valued neutrosophic soft weighted geometric averaging (SVNSWGA) operator have been used to compare two single-valued neutrosophic soft numbers (SVNSNs) for aggregating different single-valued neutrosophic soft input arguments in neutrosophic soft environment. Then, its related properties have been investigated. Finally, a practical example for Medical diagnosis problems provided to test the feasibility and applicability of the proposed work.

A multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) method with single-valued neutrosophic information is developed based on the Partitioned Heronian Mean (PHM) operator and the Shapley fuzzy measure, which recognizes correlation among the selection criteria. Motivated by the PHM operator and Shapley fuzzy measure, two new aggregation operators, namely the single-valued neutrosophic PHM operator and the weighted single-valued neutrosophic Shapley PHM operator, are defined, and their corresponding properties and some special cases are investigated. An MCDM model is applied to solve the single-valued neutrosophic problem where weight information is not completely known. An example is provided to validate the proposed method.

To address the complex multiple criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems in practice, this article proposes the picture hesitant fuzzy set (PHFS) theory based on the picture fuzzy set and the hesitant fuzzy set. First, the concept of PHFS is put forward, and its operations are presented, simultaneously. Second, the generalized picture hesitant fuzzy weighted aggregation operators are developed, and some theorems and reduced operators of them are discussed. Third, the generalized picture hesitant fuzzy prioritized weighted aggregation operators are put forward to solve the MCDM problems that the related criteria are at different priorities. Fourth, two novel MCDM methods combined with the proposed operators are constructed to determine the best alternative in real life. Finally, two numerical examples and an application of web service selection are investigated to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods. The sensitivity analysis shows that the different values of the parameter λ affect the ranking of alternatives, and the proposed operators are compared with several existing MCDM methods to illustrate their advantages.
