Acute aortic dissection type A is an urgent condition that requires a surgical treatment. Especially in patientswith Marfan syndrome and severe Pectus excavatum, the surgery could be more complicated and life-threatening. Among these, we reported a successful left anterior trap-door thoracostomy approach for urgency modified Bentall’s operation without operation for Pectus excavatum and no complication was found.

AbstractSurgical treatment of Type-A acute aortic dissection is associated with high mortality and morbidity. One of the reasons is perioperative bleeding, which may lead to worse outcomes. We present a case of successful treatment of a patient with 18-litre perioperative blood loss in DeBakey Type-I acute aortic dissection with drug-induced hypocoagulation and malperfusion of a lower extremity.

Type A aortic dissection is a catastrophic clinical entity involving the ascending aorta. In this case report, a patient was admitted to the emergency room with a presentation resembling acute myocardial infarction (AMI) that led to the inappropriate administration of anticoagulant agents or platelet. This is a case report of a 69-year-old male patient with early misdiagnosis and analysis of type A aortic dissection with discussion on the causes of misdiagnosis in light of the literature.

Hemorrhoids in pregnancy rarely require surgical treatment. Hemorrhoidectomy when done in pregnancy may result in complications for the mother or fetus. With multiple gestations (twin gestation in this case), the risk of these complications could be higher, more so, when done in the third rather than second trimester. We report the management of a 29yr old woman with twin gestation and in situ cervical cerclage who developed strangulated hemorrhoids at 30 weeks gestation. She had successful hemorrhoidectomy, continued her pregnancy until vaginal delivery of a healthy set of male twin neonates at 37 weeks gestation without recurrence.
