Abstract CERROTRU Alloy is a bismuth-base eutectic alloy that melts at 281 F (138 C). It has the highest melting point of the bismuth-base alloys commonly used in industry. It provides production engineers with an easily castable material that is ready for use soon after it freezes. The alloy can be recovered easily and recycled into new uses any number of times. Cerrotru alloy has many uses including anchoring, molds for plastics, filler for tube bending and liquid metal in heat treating. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on casting, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: Bi-15. Producer or source: Cerro Metal Products.

Abstract CERROLOW-136 Alloy is a bismuth-base eutectic alloy that melts at 136 F (57.8 C), hence its identifying number. It is widely used in industry because of its low melting temperature and controlled-shrinkage characteristics. Among tis many applications are (1) Anchoring parts such as jet blades for machining, testing and inspection, (2) In the foundry for fusible cores in compound cores and (3) Low-melting solder. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on casting, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: Bi-13. Producer or source: Cerro Metal Products.

Abstract CERROBASE Alloy is a bismuth-lead eutectic alloy that melts at 255 F (124 C). It is characterized by initial shrinkage followed by slow growth. Its low melting temperature and/or growth-shrinkage characteristics make it a useful industrial material. Among many applications, it is used for (1) anchoring inserts in wood, metal or plastics, (2) drop-hammer dies, (3) duplicate patterns in pottery and foundry, and (4) liquid metal bath for heat treating. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on casting, forming, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: Bi-11. Producer or source: Cerro Metal Products.

Abstract CERROLOW-117 Alloy is a bismuth-base eutectic alloy that melts at 117 F (47 C). Its low melting temperature and controlled-shrinkage characteristics make it very useful in industry for such applications as proof casting in tool and die shops, dental models and low-temperature solder. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on casting, forming, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: Bi-8. Producer or source: Cerro Metal Products.
