Nanfen open-pit iron mine is the largest single open-pit mine in Asia. Because of the lag of the extension project, the section has slowly spread in the shape of “V,” and disasters such as landslides occur frequently. In this study, first, the NPR anchor cable monitoring, which shows supernormal mechanical characteristics and can realize the monitoring and early warning target for the whole landslide process and early warning curve of bedding rock “2016-1101 landslide” in the lower wall of Nanfen open-pit mine, was analyzed, revealing the failure process of the bedding rock landslide and the force evolution characteristics of the NPR anchor cable. Then, based on the Fish language in FLAC3D and 3DEC software, the mechanical model of the NPR anchor cable was constructed, and numerical simulation was performed on the whole process of “16-1101 landslide” induced by accumulation of old landslide body. The results of this study indicate that the stress monitoring curves and failure characteristics of the NPR anchor cables in the whole process of landslide by the two numerical simulation methods are basically consistent with the field measurement results, providing a theoretical and practical basis for the mechanistic analysis and numerical simulation of other similar slopes.

The process of open-pit mining can lead to high slopes in iron mines, and natural slopes should be rebuilt by the method of roof fall as the exploitation style turns from open-pit mining to the underground mining. So the slope can be steep, deep and may has the characteristics of collapse. It is difficult to describe the stabilization of the mining slope by a conventional safety factor method. Through the numerical simulation of underground mining process, this paper analyzes the result of distortion stress and rock movement rupture range. Studies have shown that the failure mode is dominated by tensile failure as a pattern of collapse and few is dominated by shear failure. The failure zone is controlled by rock mass parameters and structures. The results can be helpful for the proposition of exploitation program and safety management design.

The application of FLAC2D software long ditch coal mine extraction tunnel without support boltgrouting. Anchor when the anchor rope supporting and strengthening supporting state ofroadwaywere simulated and analyzed the change of roadway surrounding rock under differentsupport forms. Demonstrated the possibility that the current anchor cable anchor supporting andanalysis under the condition of the coal wall broken grouting bolt is the necessity of reinforcement.

This article by multiple regression method using logging parameter estimation of permeability coefficient, solved in numerical simulation used in hydrological study on permeability coefficient of hole to determine does not meet the need of traditional issues.

In order to achieve the goal of ecological restoration, plant irrigation, and water retention in the external dump of open-pit coal mine in the arid desert area, it is proposed to use the mudstone in the stripped material to reconstruct the surface aquiclude and improve the water holding capacity of the topsoil. By taking the Hongshaquan Open-Pit Coal Mine as the study object, the red mudstone of mining level +650 was selected as the topsoil aquiclude material through the geological survey. XRD diffraction experiments are used to determine the composition of red mudstone including kaolinite mineral, quartz, potash feldspar, albite, and illite. The moisture content of the red mudstone is 4.16% as measured by the indoor drying experiment. And the particle size of 0.5 mm, 1 mm, and 2 mm and the thickness of 5 cm, 10 cm, and 20 cm rock samples were selected to conduct the indoor soil column experiment. Three indicators of initial infiltration rate, stable infiltration rate, and average infiltration rate were obtained according to the analysis and calculation of the water column drop rate, wet peak drop rate, and cumulative infiltration rate so that the permeability law and coefficient of each group of tests can be known. The finite element transient analysis theory and numerical simulation method were adopted to verify the results of physical experiments. The research results show that +650 level red mudstone has a strong antiseepage ability, and the smaller the particle size, the better the antiseepage performance. For 0.5 mm and 2 mm particle sizes, as the paving height increases, the water-proof effect is better. The laying height of 1 mm particle size has no obvious influence on the water barrier effect. The physical simulation was confirmed to have the same result trend as the numerical simulation, both of which are quadratic functions with the error within a reasonable range.

This paper analysis open-pit coal mine slope stability in the first mining with FLAC3D, reveal the mechanism of slope deformation, through analysis the stress and strain nephogram of model ZK8 of the first mining slope, and calculation safety stability coefficient, finally concluding stope slope of the first mining occur slip as circular form under their own gravity. The safety factor of model ZK8 is more than stope slope safety coefficient 1.20, slope is in steady state, obtained the accurate and reliable analysis results of stability.

AH Wilson coal pillar was used widely as it’s simply, but it’s appeared large error for field implementation as its difference assume conditions, mine depth H and mine thickness m. AH Wilson coal pillar formula was studied precisely by in-site stresses test and numerical simulation analysis for N3-5 top coal caving working face of CHANGCUN coal mine in Lu’an coal district of China, then modified AH Wilson formula was put forward as L = 0.008mH + 8.4,then the precise coal pillar size 18m was used in filed implementation, filed testing proved coal pillar size was reasonable.
