Medicinal plants have been used to treat illnesses since medicine began. Nowadays, 80% of the population in the planet uses drugs directly or indirectly derived from plants. In the past, natural products were used empirically; people experimented with them as helpful for their well-being and learned to treat ailments with specific plants. Henri Leclerc introduced the terminology of phytotherapy into medical science and this concept refers to study of the use of extracts of natural origin as medicines or health-promoting agents. Usually pharmacology isolates an active compound from a given plant, phytotherapy aims to reserve the complexity of constituents from a plant with moderately less processing. Phytopharmaceuticals (PP) are composed by one plant species or by complex mixtures of plants, presented in a natural or in a pharmaceutical form. The tendency is to use standardized plant extracts in the formulation, obtained by a patented extraction process. PP need to fulfill the same requirements as other medical products: safety, efficacy and consistent quality.

The automatic processing of the Arabic language is a growing discipline, in which one sees more and more research and technologies to examine the specificities of this language and to propose tools necessary to the development of its automatic processing. The old techniques of rooting have limits that weaken the process of root extraction. In this article, the author proposes a new approach to rooting based on two finite state automata. The technique proposed is based on finite state automata in the root extraction process, with the aim of minimizing the error rate and ambiguity, usually due to the removal of the affixes. The author is currently focusing on the development and improvement of the rooting technique while trying to overcome the various problems encountered. The author is working on the compilation of a corpus of evaluation which will allow him to evaluate and compare their approach to others

Detecting tampered image is a challenging work due to the high volume of image database and the accurate definition of tampering. We propose a novel algorithm based on standard deviation which could detect the tampered automatically, furthermore, localization and extraction process is conducted to optimize the proposed method. Color reduction technique, intensity based method for edge detection and horizontal based localization approach are applied here to fulfill the algorithm. The core idea of the paper is that normally tampered regions process high standard deviation while compared with non-tampered areas. As the result, the output of our algorithm is tampered regions. By presenting promising experience, the performance of proposed method is analyzed. Further application and possible optimization are discussed.
