Abstract AISI Type 405 has marginal stainless corrosion resistance. It is used primarily as a structural material. It is serviceable in continuous service up to 1300 F and in intermittent exposures up to 1500 F. It does not harden appreciably when air cooled from high temperatures where some austenite may exist. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-129. Producer or source: Alloy steel mills and foundries. Originally published March 1962, revised April 1988.

Objective: The intension of the present study includes fabrication and optimization of mouth dissolving film loaded with Chlorothalidone by solvent evaporation techniques using two components and their three levels as multilevel Categoric design. Methods: Major problem associated with the development of film loaded with BCS class II drug is to increase its solubility. Here the Chlorothalidone solubility achieved by co-solvents, such as methanol. After dissolving the drug in co-solvent, this drug solution is poured into an aqueous dispersion of Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose E5 (HPMC E5) and Polyethylene glycol 400 (PEG 400). The two independent variables selected are factor A (concentration of HPMC E5) and factor B (concentration of PEG 400) was selected on the basis of preliminary trials. The percentage drug release (R1), Disintegration time in sec (R2) and folding endurance (R3) were selected as dependent variables. Here HPMC E5 used as a film former, PEG 400 as plasticizer, mannitol as bulking agent, Sodium starch glycolate as a disintegrating agent, tween 80 as the surfactant, tartaric acid as saliva stimulating agent, sodium saccharin as a sweetener and orange flavour etc. These fabricated films were evaluated for physicochemical properties, disintegration time and In vitro drug release study. Results: The formulation F6 has more favorable responses as per multilevel categoric design is % drug release about 98.95 %, average disintegration time about 24.33 second and folding endurance is 117. Thus formulation F6 was preferred as an optimized formulation. Conclusion: The present formulation delivers medicament accurately with good therapeutic efficiency by oral administration, this mouth dissolving films having a rapid onset of action than conventional tablet formulations.

We investigated a prototype of a strain sensor based on the layers of a bionanomaterial containing bovine serum albumin (BSA matrix) and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT filler). The aqueous dispersion of 25 wt.% BSA/0.3 wt.% MWCNT was applied by screen printing onto flexible polyethylene terephthalate substrates. After drying the layers by laser irradiation (~970 nm), various parameters of the layers were controlled, i.e., resistance R, bending angle θ, number of cycles n, and measurement time. One measurement cycle corresponded to a change within the range θ = ±150°. The layers of the BSA/MWCNT bionanomaterial had dimensions of (15 ÷ 20) mm × (8 ÷ 10) mm × (0.5 ÷ 1. 5) µm. The dependences of resistance R on the bending angle θ were similar for all layers at θ = ±30, and the R(θ) curves represented approximate linear dependences (with an error of ≤ 10%); beyond this range, the dependences became nonlinear. The following quantitative values were obtained for the investigated strain sensor: specific conductivity ~1 ÷ 10 S/m, linear strain sensitivity ~160, and bending sensitivity 1.0 ÷ 1.5%/°. These results are high. The examined layers of the bionanomaterial BSA/MWCNT as a strain sensor are of particular interest for medical practice. In particular, strain sensors can be implemented by applying a water dispersion of nanomaterials to human skin using a 3D printer for monitoring movements (arms and blinking) and the detection of signs of pathology (dysphagia, respiratory diseases, angina, etc.).

Green electrospinning is a relatively new promising technology in which a polymer (latex) can be spun from an aqueous dispersion with the help of a template polymer. This method is a green, clean and safe technology that is able to spin hydrophobic polymers using water as an electrospinning medium. In this article, a systematic study that investigates the influence of the template polymer molar mass, the total solids content of the initial dispersion and the particle/template ratio is presented. Furthermore, the influence of the surfactant used to stabilize the polymer particles, the surface functionality of the polymer particles and the use of a bimodal particle size distribution on the final fiber morphology is studied for the first time. In green electrospinning, the viscosity of the initial complex blend depends on the amount and molar mass of the template polymer but also on the total solids content of the dispersion to be spun. Thus, both parameters must be carefully taken into account in order to fine-tune the final fiber morphology. Additionally, the particle packing and the surface chemistry of the polymer particles also play an important role in the obtained nanofibers quality.
