The outburst of thenovel coronavirus (COVID-19) that hasledto millionsof deathsglobally appears tobe overwhelming. This virushas become a focus of worldwide consideration. The Internet of Things (IoT) can be well-thought-out as a practical way to forecast, monitor, and avert the emerging COVID-19 virus. Internet of Things represents a connected-network of smart objects, sensors, devices, and people over which information can be acquired and communicated via the cloud for trend and patterns analysis. This technology has gained immense research plethora in health care and industrial applications. The IoT revolution is reforming contemporary healthcare schemes through integrating high-tech, commercial, and societal views. This paper briefly examines the potential of IoT technology as a logical way to tackle COVID-19 by evolving healthcare systems from conventional to more personalized healthcare systems through whichillness can be detected, treated, and supervisedeffortlessly

Cloud computing has proven itself and is accepted in industrial applications. Cloud computing is based on the co-existence and co-working of various technologies and services from different sources that together make cloud computing a success. Over the last few years, the Internet of Things (IoT) has been widely studied and being applied. The blending of these two efficient technologies may provide an intelligent perception about usage of resources on demand and efficient sharing. The adoption of these two different technologies and usage is likely to be more and more pervasive, making them important components of the future internet-based systems. This chapter focuses on the deployment models of cloud computing in relation to IoT. The implications of cloud computing in view of deployment are discussed. The issues for deployment and optimization related to the merger of IoT with cloud computing are raised.

The Internet of Things is constantly capturing interest from modern applications, changing our everyday life and empowering industrial applications. Interaction and the collaboration among smart devices offer new challenges to security since they conflict with economic and energy consumption requirement constraints. On the other hand, the lack of security measures could negatively impact the concrete adoption of this paradigm. This paper focuses on the Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol, widely adopted in the Internet of Things. This protocol does not implement natively secure authentication mechanisms, which are demanded to developers. Hence, this paper proposes a novel OTP (one-time password)-authentication schema for MQTT, which uses the Ethereum blockchain to implement a second-factor out-of-band channel. The proposal enables the authentication of both local and remote devices preserving user privacy and guaranteeing trust and accountability via Ethereum smart contracts.

IoT is an emerging and main technology which connects everyday objects and physical devices .The Internet of Things (IoT) is a system with physical devices and embedded systems, with sensors, electronics, software and network connectivity, which are used to remotely monitored and controlled various events. IoT device application covers home automation, environment monitoring ,transportation, Industrial applications, Energy management , Medicine and Health care. IoT in healthcare is used for the purpose of data collection ,analysis ,research, monitoring

The existing stand-alone multimedia machines and online multimedia machines in the market have certain deficiencies, so they cannot meet the actual needs. Based on this, this research combines the actual needs to design and implement a multi-media system based on the Internet of Things and cloud service platform. Moreover, through in-depth research on the MQTT protocol, this study proposes a message encryption verification scheme for the MQTT protocol, which can solve the problem of low message security in the Internet of Things communication to a certain extent. In addition, through research on the fusion technology of the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, this research designs scheme to provide a LightGBM intelligent prediction module interface, MQTT message middleware, device management system, intelligent prediction and push interface for the cloud platform. Finally, this research completes the design and implementation of the cloud platform and tests the function and performance of the built multimedia system database. The research results show that the multimedia database constructed in this paper has good performance.

This paper discusses the organisations involved in the development of application standards, European regulations and best practice guides, their scope of work and internal structures. It considers their respective visions for the requirements for future standardisation work and considers in more detail those areas where these overlap, namely human centric or integrative lighting, connectivity and the Internet of Things, inclusivity and sustainability.
