Subway stations or shield wells are often built using steel reinforced concrete supporting structure materials. These concrete retaining structure materials must be destroyed before launching and receiving of shield, so, some security risks may arise during destroying, and time limit for project may be longer, and the structure strength may be weakened; there are the same problems in crossing the existing subsidiary structure. In the supporting structure, concrete supporting structure materials have been partially substituted by GFRP bars in shield engineering in the world. In order to study the mechanical properties of GFRP bars deeply, experimental research on strength of GFRP bars have been made, and some relation shapes between stress and shear strength have been discussed; all of these are expected to make some basis for the design of GFRP concrete in shield engineering.

Fascine objects can be applied in the process of emergency rescues in the Middle and Lower reaches of the Yellow River. Because fascine objects can improve the efficiency of rushing to deal with an emergency, adapt to changes in river bed conditions better, resist the erosion of water slide on riverbank and buttress and prevent the collapse of the embankment, they are applicable to rescuing grave dangerous situations such as river closure, advancing construction dams in waters, closing up levee breaches and so on. Based on the experimental study, the authors analyze the mechanical calculation results of fascine object’s underwater falling, and draw the relevant mechanical properties of fascine object’s underwater falling.

Shown are results of theoretical and experimental research of force modes and limit possibilities of the first and subsequent operations of combined isothermal drawing of axisymmetric parts made out of anisotropic materials through conic and radial matrixes in the mode of short-time creeping. Studied was straining of anisotropic material under conditions of short-time creeping. We ignore the elastic components of strain. We introduced potential straining speeds for an anisotropic body under conditions of short-time creeping. Found was the effect of technological parameters, anisotropy of mechanical properties, and of age-hardening upon the stress condition, the force modes of the operation, and upon the design margin of strain during the first and subsequent operations of combined drawing. Experimental research was carried out for the force conditions and possible limits of straining during the first and second operations of combined isothermal drawing with convex-face and conic matrices in the mode of short-time creeping. Comparing the results of theoretical and experimental research for force modes and strain limits during the first and subsequent operations of combined drawing has shown their satisfactory similarity (up to 5% - 10%).

In order to understand bursting liability and related mechanical properties of roof mudstone in east mine of Kouzi, SANS material mechanics testing machine is utilized as power equipment, bursting liability and related mechanical properties of roof mudstone has been tested, and MATLAB is exploited to analyze mathematical analysis for results. Experimental results showed that roof rock with strong bursting liability in east mine of Kouzi, its relevant safety should be improved; we can adopt the way of water injection into roof strata to change its mechanical properties, the purpose of safe mining is achieved. Research conclusion provides theoretical basis for safety mining in deep Yongchuan mine in east of Kouzi.
