The aim of this study was to develop an attitude scale towards flirting violence for university students who study at TED University. 232 university students aged 18-25 in Ankara participated in this study. University Students’ Attitudes Scale Towards Flirting Violence (ASTFV)” is a 5 item Likert type scale. Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis was used for validity and the results of the factor analysis indicated that the scale explains 62,798 % of the total variance. For reliability Cronbach Alpha coefficient was 0.938. Findings indicated that the ASTFV was a valid and reliable scale.

Euthanasia is undoubtedly the protagonist of many of the debates around the end of life both among health staff and in the general population. Considering that nurses provide care for terminally ill patients and support families and patients in their final days, it is essential to know their attitudes towards euthanasia. The aims of the study were to adapt and validate the Attitude Towards Euthanasia scale to a Spanish context, to test the dimensionality and to estimate the reliability of the scale. A cross-sectional study was conducted with a non-probabilistic sample of Spanish health-workers of 201 in a University Hospital in Ciudad Real. A self-reported socio-demographic questionnaire and the Euthanasia Attitude Scale were used for data collection. The psychometric properties of the scale were assessed, including reliability and validity using an exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. Cronbach’s alpha of the Attitude Towards Euthanasia scale was α = 0.827 and McDonald’s Omega = 0.903. The range of items of homogeneity was from 0.205 to 0.685. For the different exploratory factor analyses carried out, the Bartlett’s test of sphericity was p < 0.001 and the sample index value of Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin was over 0.802. in all cases. We present the factorial weights for three models: The first one assumes a unidimensional solution, the second model was composed by three factors and the third model was composed by four factors. In the confirmatory factor analysis, the three models presented an acceptable fit index. The Attitude Towards Euthanasia scale adaptation to a sample of Spanish health workers has shown, with some limitations, appropriate psychometric properties. There have been several differences between the original factorial solution. It would be necessary to replicate the study to reinforce the findings about the number of factors of the scale.

The 15-item Proactive Attitude Scale is defined as a unidimensional measure of belief in one's ability to effect positive life changes. The current study tested the scale's unidimensionality assumption with confirmatory factor analysis on a mixed sample of 157 fourth-year Bachelor of Education ( n = 30) and first year Masters of Education ( n = 121) students from The University of Hong Kong. 49 were men and 108 women, with a median age of 31 yr. The confirmatory factor analysis showed that a two-factor congeneric model fit the data significantly better than the unidimensional model. The two factors were characterized as reflecting proactive attitude and independent mindedness, respectively. The moderate correlation between these factors clearly defined them as reflecting distinct constructs, making untenable the scale's unidimensionality assumption.

Abstract Background: High-quality instruments are essential for implementation practitioners and researcher; only valid and reliable measures can confidently and consistently measure what they are intended to measure. Psychometrically sound and pragmatic measures have the potential to guide the tailoring and evaluation of an implementation program thus contributing to the knowledge base of implementation science. The Evidence-Based Practice Attitude Scale (EBPAS) is one of few implementation instruments with strong psychometric qualities and is widely used to measure attitudes toward Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) in implementation practice and research. The Multidimensionality of the EBPAS has repeatedly been supported. Whether all of the fifteen individual items contribute to the EBPAS total scale beyond their subscales (Appeal, Requirements, Openness and Divergence) has yet to be proven. In addition, the Divergence subscale has been questioned because of low correlation with the other subscales and low inter-item correlations. Methods: The factor structure of the EBPAS was investigated in a child- and adolescent psychiatry setting (N=925, 62%, n =570) using first- and second-order Confirmatory factor analysis, thus replicating Aarons' initial studies. In addition, the present study is the first to use a bifactor model in a large and representative sample. Results: The EBPAS was supported as a multifaceted instrument. The EBPAS had a rather strong general factor supporting the use of the inventory as a single measure of attitudes. There were still four dimensions of attitude after the general factor was accounted for. All items, including the items of the Divergence factor, contributed to general attitude as well as to their specific construct. Conclusions: The present study is the first to show that it is justified to use and interpret the EBPAS as an instrument measuring global as well as specific attitudes toward EBP. Sum score and subscales scores can be used in implementation research and practice.
