Echocardiography provides excellent realtime imaging of the heart, making it the imaging modality of choice immediately before, during and after cardiac interventional procedures. It helps to guide case selection and execution of the intervention, evaluates the effects of the intervention and enables early detection of complications. Advances in the design and technology of medical devices and delivery systems, coupled with demand for alternative non-surgical therapies for common medical problems, have led to an increase in the volume, variety and complexity of non-coronary cardiac interventional procedures performed. Many of these procedures require a multidisciplinary team approach and demand optimal imaging to ensure successful outcomes. The aim of this article is to review the expanding role of echocardiography in non-coronary interventional cardiology in adults.

Low provision of cells with vitamin B2 and magnesium leads to a decrease in the activity of the sirtuin-1 deacetylase and an increase in the activity of the pro-inflammatory factor NF-kB, a decrease in the levels of glutathione, an increase in the levels of homocysteine, thrombus formation, the activity of mitochondria, the development of migraine, convulsions and miscarriage. The role of riboflavin in the regulation of the folate cycle in the genotype MTHFR 677TT for the prevention of folatresistant fetal malformations, the advantages of an aqueous solution of riboflavin and magnesium citrate is considered. The data on titanium dioxide, which increases the level of pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-1b, IL-4, IL-5, IL-6, G-CSF, CCL-2, CCL-3, CCL-4, are presented.

Purpose This paper aims to summarize the radiological interventions that can be used by obstetricians and gynecologists. Design/methodology/approach E-health systems apply in all hospital sectors in the world; interventional radiology (IR) now includes transcatheter and percutaneous techniques that can be applied to various organ systems, including the female reproductive system and pelvis. Interventional radiologists can now offer many services to obstetricians and gynecologists. With the advent of new procedures and refinement of existing techniques, there are now a number of procedures that can be used to treat both vascular and non-vascular diseases. This review summarizes the radiological interventions that can be used by obstetricians and gynecologists. Findings This review is intended to help gynecologists and obstetricians understand the role of IR in their specialty. Many valuable vascular and nonvascular interventional services can be provided by radiologists for both obstetric and gynecological indications. Many of these IR procedures are minimally invasive with less risk to the patients. Originality/value IR is now being used to treat some conditions encountered in obstetrics and gynecology, in particular, uterine leiomyomas, placenta accreta, postpartum hemorrhage and pelvic congestion syndrome. Moreover, with the help of IR, radiologists can also manage several nonvascular pathologies, including drainage of pelvic abscesses, fallopian tube recanalization, image-guided biopsy and fluid collections involving ovarian lesions. The major challenges faced when performing obstetric IR procedures are reduction of radiation exposure for the patient and fetus and preservation of fertility. This review highlights the role of IR in the treatment of various vascular and nonvascular pathologies encountered in obstetrics and gynecology.

Recent years with the widespread use of social media, the aesthetic perception of societies has started to change. People, with the desire to be liked, turn to plastic surgery with the importance they attach to physical appearance. Women's aesthetic genital surgery operations also show a parallel trend with this trend. Aesthetic surgery operations performed in the genital area are mostly designed and focused on sexual satisfaction and attractiveness. Among these procedures that do not have a medical indication, the most common ones are; labiaplasty, perineoplasty, vaginoplasty, hymenectomy and G-point amplification. Although the operations are performed by gynecology and plastic and reconstructive surgery specialists, pre-and postoperative care is provided to the patient by midwives and nurses. In this context, in this review, it is aimed to evaluate the counseling and care role of midwives and nurses with the Ex-PLISSIT Model, as well as the recommendations of international obstetrics and gynecology associations for genital aesthetic surgery operations and these operations.

On the traditional day of the Kazan Institute for Advanced Training of Physicians, I had the great honor to give an act speech in front of its staff. It was based on the results of scientific works of the staff of the department in 1981-1986 mainly on studying the role of biogenic amines and some hormones (prolactin, hormones of adrenal cortex, parathyroid hormone and calcitonin) in the pathogenesis of some neuroendocrine diseases, which occur in obstetric-gynecological practice.
